Sorry about that dude.

In future though I would probably pm AK before posting like this. He might be able to help.

Good luck though:tup:

Sorry about that man. You should have it powdercoated by mike on the forum. He does good work!

christian370z 08-19-2010 11:40 PM

I saw your album earlier, that is a shame you had to experience those problems. As long as they are cosmetic, most of the damage can be fixed with some TLC.

AK370Z 08-20-2010 02:44 AM

Matt,
I'm very sorry to see this. :(.

I had a VERY good experience with UPS damage claim. In my case, the UPS guy left my item on the porch. Then, it rained all day the next day. I called UPS and they had my claim processed in 5 minutes and I had my replacement product on my doorstep in 3 days!

I suggest you calling them and file the claim. Answer any questions they ask you and see where it goes. InfmousAXEL did say that if they deny it, send him the paperwork. He will follow up on it. Personally in my case, no one even came to check my box. They just asked the manufacturer and sent me another identical item. Hopefully everything works out.

Here are few members that were banned because of scamming/ bad or no shipment/ false product/ wrong product:

Stephen Ha (ahwaeng@yahoo.com) - user name : Dub's : A member sold him a computer. He decided to ship a broken receiver instead and attempted to get the money from paypal by filing a dispute.

Single IP address but 6 username: Stillenz1990, greddyz370 , ilaughatu 98.176.39.171 mattsdoinggoo stilleng3guy stillenz1989 :shakes head: He is an existing trouble child from another forum.

djsekz : he tried to sell bad welded shorty tails as AAM brand when it wasnt.

Just a heads up, they are all banned and out of this forum. This is just a heads up for other forums if they sign up with same name.

bought rims as listed on this post http://www.the370z.com/parts-sale-pr...s-spacers.html from kevin.z. He sent me damaged wheels and blamed it on shipping!!!!
Payment was thru paypal so when they investigated this; they said I could get my money back but I've to send the wheels back and pay for shipping. This is after I spent money on tires install and balance (this is when I found out the wheels were damaged). Makes sense to keep them instead of dealing with the loser.

kevin.z 03-25-2012 07:55 PM

I don't understand why you have to give me a bad rep when it is clear I didn't try to rip you off. I have personally checked to make sure the rims were not damaged before I shipped it and I even offered refund for the damaged rim thru paypal but you didn't take it. Now you are on the forum talking crap about me. I don't want to be bothered by you again.

Wtf how do you get tires mounted before inspecting the wheels for damage?

I couldn't see any visible damages when I got the rims, packaging was very poor when I got them. Wanted to mount the tires on these rims, so took them to a garage with road force balancing machine. The rim in question could not be balanced, the numbers were way off but the other three were balanced fine. I wouldn't have known this without getting the tire mounted and balance the wheel.

Took it to a wheel repair shop, they confirmed that the wheel had inner hub damage and the owner of that garage who must've seen thousands of these showed me a small crack which could result from an impact like the wheel hitting the curb or pot hole.

What does "poor packaging" mean? Did the box look damaged? Any pics of anything? And did he try to refund you for the wheel?

Hey Kevin

You were never forthcoming in admitting that one of the wheels you sold were damaged. At first, you blamed it on shipping, even though I told you that it had inner damage. You never offered to take the wheels back; Paypal after investigating into this with Çanada Post and the wheel repair shop, decided that the purchase price will be refunded only after the sellers receives the wheels back and shipping will be at my own cost. I think Paypal asked you to pay for shipping but couldn't legally enforce to pay for it; which you declined.
Since I already spent money on tire mounting and balancing, spending more on shipping didn't make sense, rather keep the wheels and get them fixed.

This post is about bad experiences with sellers, not intended to get in touch with you or get my money back.

rim offset are not what he posted it's about +20mm not 14mm as originally stated in his FS thread
rim set was rebarelled and he didn't mention
front tires are not 60% as stated in his original ad - tire shop measured 40% at best

the last 2 issues are not big deal, but the offset is. since i'll be putting it in a Z33, the offset would require me to run a spacer. if i would have known, i wouldn't have bought the rims. i only found out when i got home, i know i should have checked, that's my fault for trusting and giving him the benefit of the doubt. he seemed like a nice dude. i only checked for curb rash and hurried home. got excited too quick, but i guess lesson learned. i offered a solution - 2 things A. either return the rim or B. he gets me a spacer. The reply i got was it's not his fault. well, i'll deal with it... i just hope i don't run into him anywhere. i hate dishonest people and if it's an honest mistake, correct it. i gave you the chance do what's right. i made a mistake of trusting the seller and didn't check for all this until i got home. oh well, i'll get some spacers and deal with it. you'll get what's coming, one way or the other.

STAY AWAY FROM user TBOX!!!! email bradfordlacross@yahoo.com

I bought a set of Rays from him, he shipped them and they where damaged. I sent him messages and spoke with UPS to file a claim. UPS agreed to pay to fix the damages. and TBOX kept all the money and will not respond to any form of contact. total BS.
Just a freindly warning to avoid him.

Thats bull right there. Either ups or the seller is responsible depending on the damages done to the wheels. Sorry to hear that he's trying to stick it to you. Hit him back with pay pal.

kdrshocker 05-10-2012 10:17 PM

yea, it just sucks that i couldn't really do anything... ups was responsible - they paid the SELLER (it's how they do things...) the funds to fix the product and he, in turn was supposed to transfer the money to me so i could get the wheels repaired. i called him like 2 months after and he answered the phone, then pretended like he couldn't hear me.. just an all around bad time dealing with him. never again. just wanted to warn others.

MattP725 05-11-2012 10:16 AM

Did you pay via paypal? If you did you should definitely dispute the charge... might be too late by now though.

red6spd 05-11-2012 10:23 AM

Wow that sucks. That guy is loosing some serious money now.

kdrshocker 05-12-2012 08:57 AM

I tried to dispute it, but it was too late - by the time UPS "investegated" the damages done to the wheels and then sent him the check, it was too late. I'm over it now. Just pi$$e$ me off that the world still has people in it like that. Oh well. Karma will bite him in the a$$ eventually.

indyn 05-23-2012 08:34 AM

suprised that most of these scammers are still using the forum.

Jmbeebe0722 use caution

Contacted this seller Jmbeebe0722 thru the classified to buy a set of mats. I noticed he was a new member but the product looked good and he was able to text me pictures. We agreed upon the price for the item plus shipping so I mailed him out his check. I no sooner got back from the post office mailing his money and he texts me back that he wanted to cancel the sale as he found someone local. I stated I had already mailed his payment and he said okay. I good faith I tried to call him and he couldn't even return the call. Then I noticed that ther is a posting on the forum from another member boasting what a great set of mats he just purchased from guy.

Used extreme caution if you choose to deal with this guy as you are apt to send payment for an item and he will sell it to some one else. Now it will interesting to see if he returns my check.

no offense but that doesn't seem all that bad, yes it was wrong of him to sell it to someone else but he found it less of a hassle to sell locally then ship it, and you are not even sure if he has cashed the cheq or he has just thrown it out or not. i would have been more patient till you heard back about the cheq before going and calling someone out, once again i understand it was not right of him to sell to someone else

Doesn't really sound like a scam as much as just hurt feelings. You didn't mention if the buyer was infact local to him. If you are worried about the check you should go to the bank and place a stop payment on it. There might be a fee but this is exactly why 99% of people on the forum use paypal if not buying something in person.

EDIT: The buyer was 11 miles away from the seller... sorry but I don't think that had malicious intent, just bad timing.

Purchased a set of nismo wheels from this member. After a month without a tracking number provided, paypal issued me a full refund, thank god. By all means, please avoid this seller. I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else.

I'd like to add vitinvictor1 to this list. He's since taken down his sale thread of his evo r 3 piece lip. I paid his asking price of $135+fees on Sunday January 20th and he said he would ship out on the following day. He was unable due to personal issues, so I understood and was patient. Each successive day was another excuse as to why he couldn't ship out. Then he did not reply to my text that I sent on January 26th asking if he was able to ship until I had voiced my displeasure on his sale thread. He says he will ship the lip, so I give him the benefit of the doubt.

Today at 0555 he texts me saying 'shipping to las Vegas is $70... can't loss all because I'm selling it to buy a new bumper..... Sorry' at this point I am Fed up and all him to refund my money I sent in full, which is $141. He sends $136. I request he send the remaining $5 and tell him that I am displeased and that I am over the whole transaction. He sends me a text saying 'Wtf wrongs with you I don't have top stole your money!! You think I would like to get an enemy for 3 or 4 dollars!!??? Come on!!!! I send the money you said!!!! And I say you sorry for cannot send it so whatever with you then.' I wanted the $5 for the principle of it, not because I need the money.

Buyer beware of member vitinvictor1. Worst transaction I have ever had. Very unprofessional and deceitful.

Perhaps the administrators should add an itrader rating to each member as my350z.com has!

Your thoughts?

He is afraid that people will run up someone selling power falsely. I asked the same and sent him a PM and that was the short and skinny of what he told me...There are good guys on here.

So far no answer from him, I bought his spacers which were 15 and 20 not the 20 and 25 he advertised. I have not gotten any response from him at all. I will up date if there is any.

I have received a message from him stating that he did not know that they where 15mm and that he was going to give me some monies back for the wrong spacers.

frost 05-04-2013 09:53 PM

I see that he left his email in another thread ... maybe try emailing him?
