The guy shipped the exhaust and I have the tracking number. I called UPS store and he charged me twice as much for shipping but UPS guy told me the exhaust is in there.
|
thank goodness for you man...
|
Sweet. Hope there is nothing damaged.
Some people just need gentle persuasion. http://static2.fjcdn.com/comments/Qu...1ed1ec4cda.jpg |

Closest I got to dodging it was when my mom spanked me and I put a hardcover children's book down the back of my pants thinking she wouldn't notice when she spanked me. :wtf2: Anyways... Pooya, need an update brotha! |

Anyway. PayPal closed the case because tracking shows delivered. I picked up the exhaust, there are no bolts or nuts. Main problem is a huge scrape on a muffler which I was not made aware of. Part of me wants to just say **** it. What should I do? |
Lets see pics of the muffler scrape and then you call paypal and let them know that even though the claim has been closed the product was not in the condition as it was described and sold to you, nor was it brought to your attention or disclosed at time of sale.
The nuts bolts and gaskets you can call Kevin at Fast Intentions and he should be able to give you a deal on them. |

Buff and polish that out and see how it looks. And... It's under the car, so function > looks, unless your building a show car.
|
That's pretty major damage to have not been disclosed prior to sale. If there were no pics and you didn't request them, that's on you, unfortunately. If he shared pics without showing the damage, that is outright deception.
But if you are happy with the price you paid for the product you got (regardless of how the transaction went), then I'm in agreement with jsutton above. Buff and polish it a bit if you want, but you'll never see it without getting down on your hands and knees. |
The scrapes do look pretty bad but I agree with both of them above :iagree:

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...psvcaoxntc.jpg Bolts/nuts not in the box http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...ps5mthbdwn.jpg He did send me videos but nothing showing the scrapes or dings in the cans This is the photo he had on his ad. Now that I look at it, I can see parts that may have been edited out poorly with photoshop http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...psbfdy1vun.jpg |
Cool Now you can open a new claim regarding the condition and keep the money and the product as well
I'm sure if we get an opinion from one of the photoshop gang that can vouche for some use of the photo editing kind. Wasn't this the guy that was selling them for like $850 and said it came off of his girlfriend's Z or some bs? |

I spoke with Kevin from FI and he quoted me $325 + $70 shipping to US border for one side muffler section. I'd settle for just one side even tho the other side has a few dents too with the tip scratched up. |
it's 100% modified:

:stirthepot: silly scammer photoshop is for Cooltoy!
File another claim with paypal and give them the modified picture, the quote from Kevin at FI, and give them the messages. They have to do something at that point. |

You should be getting all your money back and then you'll be able to either fix those or get a new exhaust system and sell that one for profit. except not photo shopped this time
|
Wow Zefaulter just when I thought you were gonna get it in the end…….
Now couple days later I check in and see what has gone on and cannot believe how low some people will go :shakes head: |

short explanation is, you're supposed to see the same amount of compression artifacts all over the photo. Instead, the photo looks "Cleaned up" in one specific area. That's how you know it's been modified. slightly Longer explanation: Jpeg format uses a compression algorithm that introduces a specific type of artifact. Each time you save a jpg photo, more of them get added and because of that, the more you save a jpg file, the more artifacts you will have. Now, imagine you saved this blurry not so sharp photo a bunch of times before. You edit it and save it one more time. what you did was remove those previous artifacts on a specific area you just touched up. After you save the file again, you will have a cleaner portion in your image that stands out in tests like these. I just added some brightness to the photo so maybe it's more obvious: http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...psdupj0pgl.jpg |
Ok, makes sense now. That's pretty low class to go through such effort to deceive some body out of their money. I hoe PayPal could do something like a partial refund for the damage.
|
Paypal should be refunding the entire amount for misrepresentation. Any sale is legally binding.

Let's see those videos if you still have them too Pooya, Cause if those scrapes and dents aren't in the video either that clear misrepresentation. |

From what I remember, because I saw this post too when I was looking for my fast intentions exhaust but didn't do it because I was having other problems with the Z, is that he made an account on the forums to be able to sell the exhaust off of his gf's/friends Z for them. Don't know how effective contacting him through the forum would be, worth a shot. Looks like Pooya talked to him mainly through FB.
I tried looking around through the For Sale threads but cant find the thread. either that or over looked it. I would try your Subscribed threads and messages Pooya |
Found it: 2013zboii

So was this sale thru pm's? All I can do is remove his access to the classifieds and remove access to PM. One of my pet peeves is people that put things for sale and don't bother to clean them up. |

Pooya sent me updated pics via FB over the weekend and the damage is still pretty substantial to both mufflers, tips and axlebacks. Without it being fixed, he runs the risk of accidentally hitting a portion of the muffler that is already damaged and causing a hole/crack to form an exhaust leak VERY EASILY, whereas if these portions were undamaged then he would be in a better situation and chance of not forming a hole/crack in the exhaust.
With Kevin at Fast Intention quoting Pooya about $385 for each axleback section (includes shipping in price) that would be $770 and from what I remember this item was only listed for $750. Do not know if Pooya is comfortable sharing what he exactly paid for the item, but if he did say pay the $750, in the insurance game we call that a total loss and $750 would be paid to the insured. I'm still told Pooya to push for a full refund of his money through paypal due to the extent of the damage and deception of the condition for the sale. Fraud is illegal haha Also another for you Pooya, See if paypal will include him paying for the shipping for the damaged item back to him  |
