Go shoot yourself if you go mx5. Get a brz before that hunk of ****. At least the toyobaru looks cool

Slightly used z06, gogo

I'd do it in a heartbeat...but my insurance would be around 550 a month

Miata = best doors on the planet

GM_Traitor3.5 12-06-2013 09:29 AM

Overall I'm really digging the new styling changes inside and out...

Except for the blackout panel and tails. They slanted it so far forward it just looks out of place. Below the blackout panel, love the bumper, diffuser and center reverse light.

I wouldn't say great performance... as the Z does about as good around the track as the 5.0... but everything performance wise is correctable.. asthetics too, but sometimes not as much

But anywho

I can't imagine what the new stang is gonna do as far as performance. 450+ and 3400 pounds? Doesn't the Z weigh 3300? And irs...

Excuse me while me and this bottle of lotion visit the bathroom.

I just hope the orange they have for It is a nice orange. It's my fav color but if it's not the right shade then no thanks!

The Z is the best car in the world. Smokes Mustangs all day, gets bitches, kisses babies.

Can the Mustang do that? The answer is simply "No."

It sits in the back of the parking lot, wondering why Steve traded it in. Believing (the truth) that it was never good enough.

I actually would prefer an Mx-5 to the brz/frs. Those cars just don't do it for me. Have you ever stood/parked next to one...they are absolutely tiny cars. 2 seater would ok room > 4 seater with not enough room in any seat.

As far as new 5.0 being better than Z around the track, that's expected The Z can probably hang in the corners, but then it will get out "muscled" in the straights. the v-6 mustang which will have similar power to the Z and similar weight will be more of a direct comparison.

a proper comparison would be a 5.0 vs a single or small twin turbo Z. both with Around 420 hp.

Speed limiter vs oil temps = world's most boring race.

Take off the limiter. Now its oil temps vs exploding driveshaft. That's more exciting.

Now give the Z an oil cooler.

Exploding driveshafts vs failing brakes. That's a proper race

I'm not to worried about price. The looks and what it is worth it imo. Unless it's outrageous

yah, there's not one car that i really want right now under $50K. :shakes head:

How do you figure? Turbo set up on a Z would be 40k or so...to the stangs 31. Throw 9k of aftermarket on the stang in suspension and power and see what happens still...

And yes I have sat in one. I'm 6ft 250 pounds and I LOVE how tiny it is.

I like the S5 but it's a touch pricey for what it is.

A turbo z is 40k? Woah. How much are you paying for the z, $25k?

Yeah, it is brutal. Great value if you can find one that is like 1 year old traded in by a trophy wife that didn't like it. I just need to find one of those with the options I like. Saw one that had 5k miles and was 6 months old, flawless...40% off sticker:yum:

Do the S5s still need the carbon cleaned off the valves and out of the intake tract often and at the owners expense, or has that been fixed?

Yeah hard to justify paying the new prices on some of those cars. I wouldn't mind a S4 as a "grown up" daily driver but I don't think I would buy one brand spankin' new.

That issue is a bit overblown IMO, certainly doesn't warrant cleaning "often"

The dealers here will do it during the warranty period if it is needed, after that it's on you.

When I looked at S5s a few years back, some owners posted dyno sheets of very significant power loss. 20+whp down after 20k miles or so and Audi didnt consider it a problem until it started running badly.

Oh, you wanted leather and zenons on your $40k "luxury" car? That'll be $15k.

The height of German pricing ridiculousness is that you can option up a 4 cylinder 5 series (528i) in excess of $70k (close to $80k if you add everything).

and I'm 6"4", too small.
