Just took it in yesterday for a weird trans slip or jump at low speeds and now they are going to replace the trans at 55K. I'm worried about the long term reliability of this car.

No need to worry. Sounds like it will be in a scrap heap long before 100K

Jeez... good luck getting everything resolved. I'd unload that once you run out of warranty..
