Also remember that this is the same guy that then went out and bought a Ferrari F12 for himself. How much of THAT thing is useable on the streets.

Hes also the same guy who said the FR-S is a poor mans ferrari. Yet 75% of FR-S owners are wishing to get in a Z. 151Lbs-tq =

Poor mans ferrari's wouldnt be torqueless tools on Prius tires.

Yep, he hated it, but he was comparing it to a BMW Z4, which is unfair to me...

And by the way... I don't know if the episode has been released in the US yet, but he LOVES the "GT86/BRZed"
And he even talks about it in THE NEXT episode after the review of the car...
(It did make me REALLY happy that it was one of, if not THE shortest car review in the history of Top Gear )

I believe our Z is more reliable than the Ford GT Clarkson once owned.

I don't think Clarkson hated on it because of reliability more like because hes comparing it to the more expensive refined Z4, of course thats going to be more comfortable and classier than the Z but it was a stupid comparison. I dont think Z4 buyers would even consider the Z.

That's because the Z4 is a girl's car

seriously though, the Z4 is nice, but it's not that impressive. I'd rather go for the 3 series. Not to mention BMW's are crap in terms of reliability. They're great new cars, but I always hesistate buying a used one. Too many bad stories.

Agreed. If the Z is GT sports? Then the Z4 is straight GT. It's a smooth little, great handling car. But the Z makes for a more entertaining and serious feeling sports car.

Eh, from what I've seen, it really depends on the model. Each one has their own issues. Earlier versions of i-drive are an absolute nightmare.

IMO, the 135 as well as the 335 is an excellent car, especially the earlier models with the straight-six twin turbo. Forged internals from the factory, completely bulletproof engine.

Had a Z4 now have a Z. Can't really compare though, unless you had an M it was really made for top down cruising. Tramlining was a big issue as well, but to be fair, I over sized the tires. A nice performing Z4 that performs similar to a Z is $60K now.

Had a brz try to show my stock looking volvo s70 t5 what was up on an entrance ramp... saw him come flying in my rear view (looking to do a ricer fly by), let him get almost even with me, then i dropped a gear and let him hear what 18psi and 310lb ft. sound like from an inline 5...

the look on his face from getting walked by a volvo... priceless

those brz's may be every car reviewers wet dream, but on the streets, those are just the new whipping boy for eveyone

I feel for you, man. I put up with some of that when I had my Z. Now, I have a Civic Si and you wouldn't believe how the young kids in thier Subbies and riced-up whatevers are bugging me.

Hey, I bought the Si as a daily commuter car. Yes, it's thier sport model. But I don't drive like an 18 year old. And I don't go looking for trouble. But boy, does this car attract the kids.

Two different cars.... same outlook with moronic drivers...
