Same reason I would never go with the STI over the WRX... it used be a pretty big jump in performance a few years ago... but now.. no.

I think I read on some of the dyno charts only a 10 hp difference to the wheels on the STI vs the WRX because of the gearing. So you are paying the extra 10 grand for the brakes and suspension... things you can buy for how much aftermarket? If it's that important to you. For me... nope.
