There's a guy at my girlfriends appartment complex with an 05-09 GT that's pretty heavily modded with open exhaust. He revs the car constantly, even late at night. We are in the process of getting him kicked out since he has been a d-bag about everyone's complaints. :icon17:

I tried it on my s, but open headers vs straight pipe that fell off didn't change sound much.

Yeah i had to jump on the opportunity. Latemodelresto had them for 255 plus shipping. Funny that i will get Tue exhaust before the car. Lol. But yeah for the price? No brainer. From what i read and spoke to, folks are very happy with it. It's essentially louder than stock for sure, but not as loud as say roush. The roush was nice but way too "poppy" for me.

I guess yes then. ;) I might do an x pipe next time. Heck even if I switch to a different axle back I can sell these. For 255 or so? Not too too hard to swallow.

Steve have you heard the gt500 in person? Curious how volume compares to yours

It's as loud as a GT500, so not quite as loud as mine.

I haven't heard one in a while :-/

It's probably 50% louder than a GT, maybe more.

So like if stock is a 2, they're a 3....what is the frpp?

On a scale from 0-10?

From 0-10 I would put the stockers at 3. FRPPs are at 8. GT500 is somewhere in between stock and FRPP.

Red's setup is probably like a 13.

It's definitely going to be more than what the NISMO CBE is to the standard Z.

I'd say it's the perfect volume level for a DD. It is only loud when you want it to be. Regular driving and cruising is going to be very tame, but when you get on it you'll know. :tup:

It sounds deeper than stock for sure. Have u heard the other ones like roush tho, Dan? It sounds hollow and tinny and ruins the v8 sound imo. But the borlas s type are nice for sure and definitely louder than gt500 even. But for 700 bucks tho??? :(

U can always add x pipe later for more volume or delete resonators

never heard roush in person, but the rasp ruins if for me.

FRPP sounds great, I think I want an even ballsier idle than they have...not sure if that is possible though.

I would be inclined to give them a try, though. They sound awesome. My guess is they are a good bit louder than mine, but you could probably keep them civil if you needed to.

I wish there was a way to know how loud they'd be...videos don't really convey that.

Yeah those Roush's might be a little too loud for my taste. I liked them at first that I listened to them, but I feel they are a tad bit too loud and hollow.

Also, Steve, Red, I've been doing some more reading, esp on the mustang forums, and as you know, things that happen to a handful of people get blown up out of proportion and scare the other 99% of the other people.

So in that vain, what are the "handful" of issues that have happened to 5.0 cars in general? I read stuff about this "tick" noise that happens around 7k? Thoughts on that? Any of you experience this?
