I love the sound of steve's exhaust, so frpp sport or s type sounds like a great option to me. I have a hard time dropping $700 on just mufflers though.
From what I've heard on the car though, there is no better option. |

Another good option would be the GT500 mufflers. Louder than stock with no drone. Not as loud as the Roush or Borlas, but if you wanted more volume you could always delete the resonators. A lot of people really like this setup. |

Also, are your FRPP's polished, Steve? |

Here's the GT500 axle-back (with resonators) for your reference: Late Model Restoration has them in stock for $255 not including shipping: 2011-2012 Mustang GT/GT500 5.0L/5.4L Ford Racing GT500 Style Axle-Back Exhaust Kit M-5230-Mgtca1 at LRS - Same Day Shipping! The Roush: Roush will be a lot louder. Depends on the sound you are going for. |
Nice pics Red

I was pretty pumped that I got to open the stang up though, its plenty powerful at 100+ that GT500 gave me wood. |
This engine is capable of 180+ EASY.

Yeah thats the main reason I stopped at 130, there was a gradual curve ahead and someone in a 3 series was blocking the passing lane. I was going to record a video of my 160 run but I was recording with an iphone and decided that i'd need both hands on the wheel. I dont plan on taking it any faster than that on the stock rubber. BTW, you gotta admit, that exhaust sounds sick.

I wish we had an autobahn here so I could do top-speed runs without worrying about legality. :icon17:

Ribbing steve is fun. Something even Jared and I can agree on. 2 out 3 current/former red z owners confirm. |
You bastards. :bowrofl:

ahhhh....good to be back in the stang.
It's really funny driving the WRX after having been in the Stang. While I had the Z, I thought of the WRX as a torque monster....now it feels like it has no balls :rofl2: |

According to the curse of the red Z, Jared will be in a 5.0 soon :roflpuke2:

That will not happen!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. As much as the new 5.0 is a good fast car I would not even consider it as a next car. If anything happen to my Z I would pick up the new STI Sedan. |

diff'rent strokes I suppose, I like hearing my engine and melting faces simultaneously, 28 years old mind you, still music to my ears.
|
25 here, and loud cars got old after my first cammed/dumped mustang. Now, I like it when it's loud on/off the gas, quiet when cruising.
