I would have to say plus points for not caving in and keeping it real. I dont care if a auto or paddle shifted car is a tick quicker. Id rather row thru my gears the REAL (right) way:driving:

I can't really drive manual though. I have learned, but still need more practice. Have yet to see why it's more fun than an auto. Maybe that will come with more lessons when driving it becomes more natural. Don't think I would ever buy one though. I can see it getting really annoying with all the traffic I get stuck in.

Yes, auto or automated manuals (flappy paddles) can be/are better on track, quicker etc, but NOTHING matches the pure fun/connection to the car that rowing your own gears gives you.

Now as far as traffic, yeah, it can suck and if you only have one car and live in a city...then you either sack up and shift, or puss out and get an auto.

Probably because I'm too busy thinking of what I need to do to enjoy it. I KNOW how to drive one, but it's not natural process for me yet. Still have to think about everything instead of doing it all subconsciously.
