I have LOTS of 17-20 second time slips from my old Mustang. If I felt I blew the launch or messed up a shift I would just coast the remainder of the track. There's no sense in using the car up if you know the run is no good. IMO, it's better to give up and run a 17.9 @ 50 mph than go down trying with a 13.9 @ 115.

I think i'll go make a pass, if its terrible, i'll spare myself the embarrassment and not pull up to the line again

Haha, well if you cut a poor 60', you just need more practice.

So far it looks like folks are having good results just launching off idle. You can also drop your rear tire pressure a bit for more contact patch on the launch.

I will try a few different things on Friday and let you know what I find works the best.

awesome, launch RPM's, tire pressure, drop or feather the clutch, idle, i'd love to hear your input on all of those, I hear 20 psi is the money maker for tire pressure, give that a shot to begin the night.

Don't start off too low. It's easier to drop pressure than to add when you're in a pinch for time.

I'm going to drop the rears from 35 to 28 and start from there.

I have my own little battery powered air compressor, woot! good idea though, makes sense.

The Brembo cars come with a compressor since we don't have a spare.
