There are so few cars I have such little respect for as an RX-8. That was a failure on so many levels. Who signed off on that? Its like the person who said "ok, lets run with that" had no idea what a vehicle is, let alone a sports car, and by God a platform with an RX history.

A buddy of mine got one back in High School when they first came out - yeah, one of those kids whose mom buys them a $40k sports car and then they fail their drivers test and can't drive it for a few weeks. It was the automatic RX8...so slow. I believe the manuals were a bit faster and the later year model's were better, but man did everyone crap all over that car.

The ONLY thing going for it, albeit a HUGE one, was the chassis. So underpowered they were sued. A 1.3L(Equivelant Wankel size) that gulps fuel with no turbo to the tune of an optimistic 16MPG driven moderately. All kinds of electrical issues. You had to let the car run a while to turn if off properly...wtf? What else?

Edit: Yet SOMEHOW it won the huge majority of test against the 350's of the day because it "had a back seat" and was better in traffic....Rag editors are on meth. *edit Edit...Despite losing every conceivable metric in performasnce. Not by "Well that could have gone either way", no butchered it, to the point of my cat could have tested against the 8 in my 350 and murdered it. It has backseats so that negates everything. Cant park the farking thing without flodding it IF you have enough gas to attempt to start it.

Jeremy Clarkson seem to like the rx8 when he did a review in Top Gear, actually stated the rx8 was the best drivers car for that year when he reviewed it...I don't think he would say the same on a hyundai

Oh Im very aware of that episode. Disappointed the Genesis Coupe 13+ never ran on that show, with its common ability to make right turns it should have been a welcomed relief.

as a previous G37 owner... I absolutely hate Genesis Coupes. I feel hyundai just ripped off everything G37. Even down to the exhaust note.

edit: oh... you own a... genesis coupe... my bad lol.

why didn't you go G37? completely curious, not trying to talk sh*t

Not everything. A good example of that is its design has a common trait of cars made in the 21st Century such as working Navigation, phone interface, real leather, more power and torque and warranty that goes and goes. No, not everything thank goodness.

I tried it, honestly felt under powered, and the cabin and tech were from 2007 in 2013...and way too much coin for that. it was comfy though.

Edit, I said 2007, sorry, tech from '03.
