The e92/e90 M3 is an awesome car; I nearly sold my Z for one, but the deal fell through. Two of my buddies have ESS Tuning VT625 supercharger kits on theirs and they feel great. The M3 is a benchmark car for a reason - it does so many things well. And please get the DCT - that tranny is great, probably just behind the Porsche PDK.
Plan for bearing replacements on these motors before the crank/rods get damaged. Seems to be a hit or miss problem, but its good peace of mind.
