Question for anyone in here with exhausts. I'm thinking of picking one up and wanted to see if you had any recommendations for shops to have it installed.

No need to worry about the shop. It's usually 10 bolts, and as long as you have a quality exhaust.... A monkey could line it up and bolt it on. I had mine done at Monro.

I paid $15 to a local Monroe shop to loosen all the bolts then took it home and put it on ramps and Jack stands.

Wink

I did my LTH's and the rest of the exhaust in my garage using jack stands. If you are just doing a cbe. Only need to jack the rear of the Z up.

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm (in typical 370z forum fashion it seems) looking between F.I. and ARK and probably leaning toward ARK. I have jack stands and a mechanic's tool set at home so it sounds like I should be able to do it at home.

How long did it take you to get everything removed then installed again??

Did you drive the car right after install or let it sit over night??

Basically any tips would be useful.

cat-back removal is simple and quick and so it the installation on the new cat-back set-up. the only time you have difficulties is when you try and remove the cats. thats a bitch.

and i went and drove mine as fast as i could get it off the lift lol

Sweet. As of now I'm not planning on removing my cats (emissions issues) so I don't have to worry about the worry of not passing like I did with my GTI

FPenvy is right.....the only difficult install from the manifold back is those beepin cats.....otherwise, the CBE install is cake. Just get everything lined up before you synch everything down tight.

Edit: yeah I totally posted in the wrong forum....that's what I get for being up 19 hours. Going to bed lol

Sweet. Glad to hear that it isn't too difficult of a job to do.

it is fun for the most part. sometimes you'll run into problems or just people who are a pain in the ass

Hey FP, how did you like the traffic this morning on your way to work? I hope you got to work from home, I made it to the GetGo and turned back. I new the side roads were going to be a mess as well.
