Pittsburgh/Western PA/Ohio/WV Group

Hi everyone. so far from being on this site i haven't come across many people or threads for the western pa, eastern Ohio, and WV areas.

i myself am from right outside the city of Pittsburgh. so far in the past year I've maybe seen 3 other 370Z's but I'm sure there's more somewhere.

I'd like to find more people around this area with Z's(370 or 350). regardless if it's just to know more local people with the same interests in Z's or possibly setting up some meets around the area. i see many other groups on here doing the same for their areas so i figured I'd give it a shot for my area.

if you're from any of the surrounding areas please chime in, show support, give feedback, or just general discussion.

so i guess here is the OFFICIAL Western PA/Pittsburgh/OH/WV thread

FP :hello:

Would you be interested in crossing over into our Central PA thread every now and then? Maybe we can drum up a nice big Left half of PA meet at some point? :rofl2:

Or at least come up with something. I want the pink mist!

FPenvy 04-12-2012 10:14 AM

i posted in there a few times the other week. all your meets are so far for us over here in the west so it's hard for me to make it out there with work.

i do like the idea of tryin to get a big left half of PA meet though. if we can gain some more interest from others i'm down to start brainstorming ideas on dates, locations, times, etc

XwChriswX 04-12-2012 10:16 AM

I've got a new thread going now, that will be a little less disorganized. :tiphat:

But yeah, if you wanna do some sort of 'mass' meetup, then let me know. Probably will have to be later in the year when more people are out of school and all, but it could totally be doable.

FPenvy 04-12-2012 10:17 AM

is your new thread in the NE or mid-a section?

yea i agree more towards mid-summer would be good. plus gives plenty of time to stir up interest and plan.

Mid-A section, wasn't sure where exactly to put it since PA is kinda the outcast of the east coast. It's not really Mid-A but it's not really NE either, especially western PA. :shakes head:

dude i struggled with that same problem when i made this thread haha

i mean its not near the atlantic and on the back end of possibly being NE soo i just took a stab and did NE. we should tell AK to make us a region category just for PA :roflpuke2:

I thought about it. :rofl2: I think we're to the point, that it might be easier to make States instead of regions... There's a lot more people rolling around now than there was in 09 when the forum first started. Especially since PA takes up such a large space.

:iagree: completely. i mean i've barely been on here a year but the more i actually look at people locations and the amount of diff people in the Mid-a/NE threads talking about places and meets in PA it would make out lives easier.

i just barely ever see anyone from my side of the state on here besides i think 2 people so far. hence why i made this thread lol i just hope it picks up a little. i know there gotta be some more Z's hiding around my area besides the old lady in a white roadster i saw 2 weeks ago and the old guy in a grey one i pass going home from work like once a month :rofl2: plus i barely see 350's around here either besides the few i know from drift or drag events i go to.

But states don't necessarily work, either. Look at the entire northeast. Does Rhode Island need its own section? :ugh2:

And just because a state border exists, that doesn't mean it's more convenient for someone in, say, MD, to go to a MD meet. If they live out at Deep Creek Lake, it would be better for them to go to a Pittsburgh Meet than a Baltimore or DC one.

Thats why I think it might be okay for just a PA state region due to the sheer Size of the State. Much like Texas. Mid-A Covers WVA, VA, MD, De, NE Covers NO, NJ, and north... PA really doesn't fit into either of those.
