From what I understand, the class is still using the TT Inline 4 2.0L builds.
It's been a while since they've used production-based engines.

Finally! It’s about fricken time. But I have a feeling it will be for a short duration since Nissan is aggressively pushing its change to 100% electric cars, especially in motorsports. Yawwwn, more Formula E and Extreme E racing.
