it's only a car. not like there's only one of them in the world. the nismo might be a little more rare, but i see gtr's daily here in atlanta from young people driving to grandpas.

I was searching for months in PA, MD, OH, WV all around but when I bought it was around the japan earthquake and production/shipment was shut down. |

Fall 2017 is my deadline for Nissan too. All the viable cars would have been released by then. |

I remember hearing rumors of a lightweight homage to the Datsun 180Z days and I also heard the IDX concept was supposed to fuse 510 elements with a new gen 240 chassis... But that got terminated from what I hear. I hope Nissan does come up with something though and doesn't do some weird hybrid AWD turbo cookie cutter car. |

I wonder how many of us will trade in our beloved 370z. I will certainly wait two years just in case of new generation bugs/recalls.

I'll trade in, if it's a better car. Sell my Z, have the new one, and a shitbox daily.
If the new Z weighs more than the Z34, I'll shop elsewhere or get a FI kit. |
I would trade in my Z in order to upgrade.

Same weight or less Better infotainment system More powerful/advanced engine, which the 3.0L TT would fit my bill |

Ideally I'd like it to stay the exact same otherwise. Trouble is we own one of the last legacy sports cars, and with the market as it is now my biggest fear is that the next iteration will be a tech'd up mass market pleaser. |
I'd like to also add the biggest thing Nissan needs to fix in moving forward with the Z........
stop it with the horrible fuckin option/package setup. the 2009-2014 was fine. then this whole no touring with sport no this with that you cant have what you actually want with this is just retarded. If I cant have sport package stuff, with good seats, and my nav..........I wont buy one. that's so dumb how they handcuffed the cars to being eh or ehhh |

I would happily take my money elsewhere where things like good brakes and interior options are standard. the fact that they have a stripped out cheap version hurts the rest of it since they changed over all the options to not be able to have both. all it really did was force people who wanted both to bump up to a nismo tech which is the highest priced version. |

I will also admit if this was now I would get the nismo tech. I hate the nismo kit from 2009-2014. the new body of the 2015/16 I do really like and the seats are sexy. throw in the nav which also lead me away from the nismo initially and you got me back. sooooo if the next Z nismo has good seats like the present nismo reacaros, nav, and a choice of the better AT tranny, and good body kit that's what I'd buy lo. |

its more about the atrocity of Nissan paint. black would just swirl up instantly and chips/scratches would show up so much easier. a friend of mine (a bit more OCD than most including myself) has had his black Z painted I believe 6 times now? give or take lol |
Nissan is fvckin up all types of ways. We really need the new Z sooner than later. But C & D's "isolated incident" and Nissan's lackadaisical attempt to NOT deal with the CSC failure properly has lead to the downfall of this car with new buyers. Though most complaints are really bunk and C&D trumped to push people into BMW's and Honda's. (C&D is so bought/rigged by 3 companies, GM, BMW &Honda) but I digress... In some ways... I'm beginning to see how Nissan may potentially giving up. They camaro has set a new standard at $40,000. Even in their v6 cars... Nissan is gonna have a lot to prove... and I hope they don't take the cowards way out n just not build a new car. Subaru still makes an ST'I though it's not popular like before. Nissan can still make a Z.
The Z is still the best handling car from 300-500hp under $50,000. That's why I'm still in one. They joy of driving this car is AMAZING... But, that said. I can't ignore Nissan's shittiness in certain aspects |

maxed out 2SS with many many options is 50-55k |
He's probably referring to the z/28
|
Quote:
that will be 65-70k but even the regular SS Camaro will out handle a Z since they just put it on par with the M4 |
Yes it was the Z28 that was referring too.
I looked at the Camaro SS before buying my Z but the inside of them wasn't too appealing to me. |
