I still don't think the new Z will be under 3,000 lbs. If it is. The price will be higher. Between chassis stiffness, safety regs. I don't know.

With the new 3.0tt engine and everything I could see it coming in at 3200-3350lbs

I'm about to buy a new daily and wanted to know if I should hold off and wait for a the new Z or just take a current Nismo / track 370Z.

right now if they released a 3200 lb 400-450hp TT Z it would sell.

in 3-4 years CF will be even cheaper to put into cars so most of its competitors will be lighter by then. also I'm sure there will be other new cars. also GTRs will be cheaper, Z06 vette will have had 2-4 years of their plummeting depreciation and will cost around 40-50k, alfa guillia will have 2 model years to drop that first year depreciation (idk why but I dig that car lol), etc.....

unless Nissan goes above and beyond and makes a perfect Z it seems like they will just miss the boat. a 10 year cycle for the 370 is just them being lazy.

I went and looked at a 2015 GT-R Black Edition last Saturday with my son. Went from $116k to $101k. That's my ultimate car to have but no way I could swing the note and keep up with all the normal up keep with that car. That is one high maintenance girl. Not that she's not worth it but just out of my reach for now.

I agree. on the other hand I get the break where I can go get a 2015 GT-R for much less but it's still not a smart move financially at the moment.

right now I see 2015 black edition 2 color options 16k miles - $75k

2014 premiums with 5-20K miles - $62-70k

2016's for $82-87K

$60K for next new Z35?
