New info on the rear drive Kia Stinger shows it might add for more competition for the Z35/Q

Especially if it's offered in a coupe and with manual transmission. The turbo 4 engine option shouldn't be very competitive but the TTV6 might draw some attention. Price hasn't dropped yet but that will really determine if it's going to be in the same conversation for comparison.

I hope Nissan has done some major advancement to the Z in all of this silence they're giving us. They are probably silent because they either have something truly noteworthy or they have not met expectations/nothing to separate them from the competition.

The Stinger sedan looks great in person. But with all the issues with the Genesis manual and Hyundai/Kia manuals in general, I would be leery of a Stinger manual.

not to mention its just 4.9 seconds to 60. We live in a glorious age of cars, why would I settle for a 5second car?

This car will suffer from HP envy just like the Z. It will be a different story if they put low enough CR so you can crank boost. Also, bet they will skimp on suspension and chassis stiffness. They will need to take a lot of shortcuts to hold a price point people will bite on.

Saw it at the Toronto Auto Show and I came away with a meh on the looks, to each his own I guess, it's not bad but I expected something better from the guy who designed my SUV (Peter Schreyer).

I will test drive it, but it won't replace my Z ever.
