Look at this image of the LEAKED pre-production Z; You can see the indentation of the door handle, the DOT required sidemarkers, the covered Z badge on rear tailgate as well as the 3/4 as well as the wheels/calipers. https://www.nissanzclub.com/forum/at...opy-1-jpg.609/ Also this video, go to 0:17s and you'll see the guy open the door using the door handle. This is another pre-production vehicle that was recorded at the same time the silver one above was. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTy-...annel=400ZCLUB Nissan isn't slacking perse, they're holding off until they can release something worth releasing. Just think as how they revealed the Proto. There was going to be no new Z and then out of nowhere, they announced the A to Z plan. My guess is they'l announce something May 28 (Since they announced A to Z LY on that day). Just watch the both videos here and relax. We're all impatiently waiting on the big details to be validated; Engine, transmission, weight, brakes, pricing, colors & options. Quote:
Watch this Video; Nissan Reps talks about why the proto is labeled Fairlady Z. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yuag...Carsn%27Coffee |

Everyone in these videos said how much better it looks in person. Not sure where you get your info lol. And everything operates as normal in the leaked production cars. |

I'm liking it much better. Still prefer 1 solid color over the black roof and rear diffuser, and I pretty much hate those wheels. But I know those things will be or can be changed. Here's to hoping the end of May brings more details. Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk |

Just to add my 2 cents to the naming confusion,
a while back a person who supposedly knows some insider info (and also correctly predicted the 9AT, amongst other things) said that in USA the car will simply be called "Nissan Z". The test mules that were delivered to Arizona for testing had their badges taped over, but in one shot it can be clearly seen that under the tape is a very large "Z" emblem on the rear light panel on the passenger side, and it is obviously just a "Z" and doesn't have a 300 or 400 or Fairlady anywhere near it.. The hatch lid did not have any emblems like the proto's "Fairlday Z", it is totally devoid of emblems in that area. |

I'm not so optimistic about wheel colors being a choice. I'm not a fan of dark gun metal or black, but with current trends, I'm completely expecting silver won't be a stock option. I guess we'll see. Here's to hoping the stock wheels at least fix the stance problem that plagued the 350 and 370 that required spacers or aftermarket wheels. Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk |
Check out the piece about the Z in today's Jalopnik.
WAY over the average replies to a topic on this site. The Z is dead? Not by the responses given. |

i would have to go out on a limb, and based on the history/relationship with nissan, we may get the proto there. i was told by a friend at a dealership 5/23 is possibly the day they will begin taking orders. |
If someone here has time, can you post a link to the newer 400Z forum where all this discussion is going and will eventually all be? I know I'm being lazy but I just need a simple way to find it right now for light evening reading. Thanks.

"What kind of car you have?" "I've got a Nissan Z!" "Cool, which one?" "............?" Mazda may have gone MX-5, but people still say Miata. Led Zeppelin's 4th album is called Led Zeppelin. But nearly everyone calls it Zeppelin IV. In other words, I think a lot of people will refer to it as the 400 Z whether Nissan calls it that or not. Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk |

I will always reject "400Z" (unless Nissan actually calls it this) as it has no place in the traditional naming definition of every single Z ever made. |

Why are people getting so uptight about a name. Call it the Nissan POS and I'll still buy it. I don't care what it's called. I care what it costs, how it makes me feel and how it drives.

Still want another one though. Z cars get into your blood. |

Any news about the 2022 m240i? Lol if the Zs price range is close to it, I'm done with nissan. Paid 47,500 cash for my 370z when I bought it new 2012, base model. My buddy paid 62K for his new m240i with some options.

Here's a little more info. From this, it looks like they might be splitting the grill now. The other part I noticed is, it's in desperate need of spacers or rims with better offset.
