The best looking new C8 Vette you can get right now is the blue one with the 2 tone blue interior. Really sharp. I think this blue looks great. Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk |

It wouldn't be my choice, but it is great that they are offering options! Something for everyone. I will stick with black leather though.

2021: "gOsH tHaT bLuE iS wEirDd"
2031: "WTB: Blue Interior. Will travel if needed. Cash in Hand. Will entertain trades PLEASE HELP ME" The silver exterior really puts the car in a better light as I expected. |

I love that blue.
Recently bought my wife a "Flame Blue" Corolla Hatchback in a very similar hue (Smurf blue) and the C8 Corvette comes in a near identical color with blue interior pieces. I guess it's a good time to like blue! |

For those of you still not sold on the front grille design, you could consider wrapping parts of the bottom lip to help "change" the shape. These are just a couple quick thoughts I had.

While I'm not "in love" with the front, I still find the Z35 way better styled than the BMW Supra, and I am certain the aftermarket will come up with some nice front bumper cover choices fairly soon. Many of the renderings I have seen with different front bumpers have shown good potential for the Z35. I like how the Z35 is conservatively designed. If people want to add outrageous design elements to it, they can have at it. Much better than having a car covered in overwrought styling details and fake vents! My ideal Z35 is rear window louvers, swap the aftermarket wheels from my Q60 onto it, downpipes, catback and a basic ECU tune or JB4. I'll probably leave the front bumper alone unless something outstanding becomes available. It'd probably be $2K, realistically, to change the front bumper. |
Wifey is in love with that blue.

Not to besmirch people who like them, but I actually can't stand black wheels and here's the 4 reasons why. When the car is going down the road: 1. black wheels either look like ugly Nascar wheels, 2. cheap steel wheels that have lost their hub caps, 3. or spare tire wheels. Does any that appeal? No. And lastly, 4. even when standing still, black wheels don't offer any contrast. The entire wheel well just looks like one big black blob. White car (including the roof), silver wheels, and blue interior. Nice. Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk |
Blue interior looks great with the blue exterior on the C8.
Unfortunately the only way to get this combo is to get the highest end trim level which adds a LOT of coin just for a blue colored interior. Which makes me think and predict, just like the 370Z, people will have to pony up the $5k for the touring package to even have a choice. Makes sense, but wish it weren't the case.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e1da7199d5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2e1d2b20f9.jpg Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk |

Actually, I think it may be inherited. My Dad used to work at GMC Truck and Coach. He HATED building UPS trucks with the black wheels. One time he had his guys put polished aluminum wheels on one, took pictures, and sent it to UPS. They did reply. They liked the look, but wouldn't belly up for the added cost or change their corporate look. At least he tried. By the way, I really don't like gun metal either. Looks like brake dust dirt all over. Tough to judge the blue with such an out of focus picture - I do wish the seats had a more racing seat look.

That color combo would work 100x better with some sweet recaro style racing buckets. |

I can see an easy Z35 front swap or the Z35 Sideskirts on a Z34 but......that's about it. |

nah, ill leave the stock 22 on it. tires for that GTR hurt the wallet enough as is lol |
have there been any photos of the suspension?
I assume they are just going to keep the actual geometry the same and just mess with the spring/damper rate, maybe some bushing hardness if they add camber adjustment, that would actually be a massive upgrade also . . .let's see those brake caliper mounting points. If they're the same as the Z34, then its swap city |

https://www.z1motorsports.com/brakes...t-p-20559.html I'm betting they will have a full motor swap kit etc when it releases because they designed the first vr30 swap. Which I think the Z1 was actually the test partner for this new Z when it was done a few years ago. Which is why the are releasing swap kits for brakes and stuff right after they were shown in the new Z. |
No new spy shots?
One mod I happened to think of recently that will no longer be possible is easily making the automatic shifter look cooler by simply buying the manual boot cover and swapping them out. Some people did it for posing, but others like me did it because it was one part of the interior that just looked cheap. The leather boot just looks so much better. Now with that "wonder wand" looking thing I'd say people are stuck with something belonging to a luxury sedan, not a sports car. Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk |

Whatever your take is on that, I hope it means more color options. The folks with 40th Zs got the only red leather seats and inserts they ever made for the platform and I'm super jealous of that. My dream combo for this new one would be pearl white exterior with red seats/accents throughout the cabin. Maybe red seatbelts. I'm more into red than most people, lol I've tried to keep up with this thread for literal years and don't recall any further leaks on interior options for the new model. Is there any info I've missed on potential options etc? Seems we've got some insiders!! |
I quoted the wrong post because I'm a dumbass. Meant to quote the blue interior pic.

Doing pretty well? I'm not so sure about that. I don't really care to start making predictions, but since you think this car is doing well as is, I will. Bottom line, I see this new Z as "sketchy" at best. (EDIT: Rest of post removed simply because I just rehashed old crap everyone already knows and I don't feel like discussing it further. I should have just kept my mouth closed.) |
So the 400z forum has more photos recently apparently the proto is a mess in person. The doors don't open normally, the trunk won't open, they only have one proto etc. Honestly it makes me sad Nissan is floundering so hard right now they can't even get the doors to open normally gotta use a button on the pillar right now. Jeesh Nissan get your crap together and when are going to learn anything else about this car are they really going to drive one single prototype around for years before the release it or something? Took them this long to just to throw the vr30 motor in a rectangular version of the 370z. At this rate it will probably take another half a decade to pick the colors and decide to put it on the showroom floor. https://www.nissanzclub.com/forum/th...rs-coffee.172/

And its now tagged as a Fairlady Z. Curious to see if that lasts to production for the U.S. market.
I definitely like the looks better here than in still shots we have seen. Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk |

semi related note insider in a GTR group said there will be no R36 now even despite current R36 hybrid testing.

So then why did Nissan decide to tag it Fairlady on a car that is touring the U.S.? The U.S., not Japan. It seems to me either the guy tagging it screwed up, or they still really haven't made up their mind 100% yet. It doesn't matter to me either way, but this is the first I've seen (and I think anyone here has seen) with the car actually tagged with something other than Nissan and/or Z. So its worth mentioning even if you don't want to discuss it. Edit: Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall the car having such tagging during the unveiling, so I see this as new. |
Quote:
its had that tag since the reveal last year. this is not new. |
