So they could either test out new parts in house, with pits and factory mechanics at the ready or ship it to Germany.

See how none of this makes any sense whatsoever.

As was pointed out a few posts back, Nissan did the exact same thing with the 370 test mule in ‘07. They tested it in Germany wrapped in a 350 body. Not a stretch to think they would do it again. We’ll see though.

Wait... What??????

Ninissan just does things a certain way when it comes to bringing out the Z. It's always in line with a maxima redesign and G intro.

Maybe possibly you guys are right about that car. But everything nissan said is happening. The juke will be released on a new modular chassis. Happened.
5 cars will move to this platform, with 2 surprise intros.
Havent confirmed the intros, but the platform is now in use.

The Z will be the 2nd car introduced on this new MODULAR platform.

That's what I'm saying. So even if the pic is fake? The news is based on reality. We are in phase 2 of following the trends that Nisssn said would happen. And lastly they said the Z will be here between 2020 and 2022. I think we'll see a Z concept by spring. Just saying.

Oh and ummm.... I'm leaning toward other cars for purchase. The Z just still has a special place in my heart. So I'm not being a fanboy. I'm just sure this time it's coming. I can feel it.

NRTim 11-04-2019 02:09 PM

I don’t really care if that Z spotted at the Ring was a test mule or not but something to consider:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.aut...update-teaser/

As you can see the VR30DDTT fits in that chassis.

There where 3 vr30 swapped 6mt Z34s at Zdayz this year

tvfreakazoid 11-04-2019 03:18 PM

Also, a youtuber mentioned last yrs SEMA show, they had the 370z with the 3.0 TT v6 in the 370z with a MT. So that could be a hint. But most likely that's what it will be.
Nissan doesnt have the funds to build a new 370z. Probably a reason why nissan hasnt updated the 370z and the GTR. Especially the outdated dct on the gtr.
It seems the 370z will get a different look and hopefully bring the interior and tech to the 21st century.
And let's hope they dont over due the fake vents like the bmw supra.
And for god sakes please dont use the nissan fugly tall grill.

Its 1 of the reasons why I ended not buying the 370.
It was just to out dated.
Let's hope this 1 will be better than the supra or least look better.

I’m hoping for the 3.0TT and I’d bet that’s what they have been testing BUT, what if they bumped the 2.0TT engine in the QX50 out to 2.4. Again, not saying that’s what I want but it would give Nissan the fuel efficiency, eco friendly engine they’ve talked about and they could call it a 240Z.

tvfreakazoid 11-04-2019 04:46 PM

The 2.0 could be a step below. But I doubt it since there isnt a market for it.

Yup, where was 3 VR30DDTT Z's at ZDayZ this past summer. One was the Club Sport. From talking with Spence. Nissan paid to have the engine swaps done by 3 different companies. All 3 have been running around on the street for all year. These are your test mules for drivetrain.

You are not observing anything, if you had like the rest of us did when this lie came out you would not be banging the test mule drum. Did you try zooming in on the car like some of us did and see all the evidence that is just some dude having a track day. 5 go pros, ring taxi sticker on dudes helmet, bumper and lip beat to chit.

All the evidence is there. You just want a new Z so bad you are willing to believe anything any fool puts on the internet. I won't.

RACE TAXI (not Ring Taxi) is a subsidary of getspeed.de - which is a performance racing team based at the Nurburgring, specialising in racing Mercs (and Porsches). All their staffers have RACE TAXI logos plastered all over them. This guy could be test driving a Nissan mule because Nissan want to test the drivetrain at the 'Ring, using someone who knows the track like the back of his hand, just to see what it's capable of. You're wrong to assume it's a member of the public.

As for the front bumper, you say in a later post that Nissan have their own test facilities, thereby answering your own question about why it's got flies and marks on it.

Nothing is 100% certain, but my money's on it being legit.

Like someone once said, 'if wishes and buts were candy and nuts, we'd ALL have a Merry Christmas'. At this point, I'm cautiously optimistic, but given the recent news with Nissan and Ghosn being indicted and fired, I'm not going to hold my breath. Like Sammy Hagar says 'It's all just mental masturbation'.....:nutswinger:

Race Taxi, or Rice Taxi? Sorry I can't see so... good.

Toyota has sold 643 Supras in August and a total of 963 since the drop. That’s probably about how many Z’s sold for the year.

Again, if Nissan is planning on a new Z they really should be generating some interest. Scream it from the rooftops! What do they have to lose? They afraid people won’t buy the current model? LOL!! That ship has sailed 3 years ago.

The silence is deafening.

There isn’t a day that I don’t get a thumbs up or people coming up to me in the Supermarket parking lot and saying “I had a 19__ 240, 280, or a 19__ 300zx and it was the best car I ever owned!” It’s beautiful! Blah blah blah...

Hey Nissan, if you build it, they will come...

I’m not even sure they’ll do that. Unless you count stickers and paint a “reskin”.

tvfreakazoid 11-06-2019 06:09 AM

Well they cant make it look the same.
They change things up.
The most important is the interior and updated tech.
And just as fast the bmw supra.
Minus Nissan's terrible grill

I kind of like this rendering of the next z car but only the side profile, the rear and front needs some work.

Seems like everyone has some type of play on that style of front. :shakes head:

Sadly, that style is pretty much wearing cement boots at the bottom of the sea. A forward angled grill is not pedestrian collision friendly, which is why you don't see it anymore.

I am hopeful to say the least as for a concept I would think it would be similar to the Nismo Leaf except sleeker.

Anyway here is a hopeful assessment.

The general shape is great. But all the fine touches look HORRIBLE in this render. But. At least the renders are a month ahead of what I said. I said december n here we are a week into nov. The Z will be here soon enough. The renders are garbage cuz the design is in. It's just there to get us talking.

I've seen loads of really bad guesses over the past few years. This isn't one of them. It has the right 'feel'.

LMAO! I don't know if he has any more information than what has been presented and the way he talks about the Z it seems as though he has some insider information. I have watched a few of his other videos and his information has been pretty solid.

All I know is I am tired of hearing about the fckin Supra. Someone needs to step up!
