Get it towed. Did you replace the crush washer?

Nope. Is this something I need to do before I go in? And where can I get it?

Nissan. Its the flat washer you should replace each oil change. Goes on with your drain plug.

There is no such thing as "carefully" driving a car with a broken motor.. get it towed, you will only give them reason not to cover it if you don't...

I just listened to your videos, that is not what I was expecting at all from your thread title, that sounds like detonation issues or even a fuel system issue.

Do not drive it like that or rev the engine at all, can you get a hold of a code reader before you take it in?

People in here are trying to be really nice and not troll you, and also not call you out for being silly...

I'm trying to do neither, and just be honest here. Your motor is probably rickety-wrecked, and revving it like that for the video made me cringe like no other. When you hear ticking, you TURN THE CAR OFF AND LEAVE IT OFF until you figure out wtf is causing the ticking.

If you're lucky, its not your lack of crush washer that caused it, but you'd better put one on before you bring it in, that's for sure. And your best bet is to play the "LOLIDUNNOWUTHAPPENED" game, and hope they warranty it.

Also, while I respect you doing your own oil changes for the past 8 years...you may want to look at how our valve train works, what with the mention of rockers and lifters...

If you DIY you should have these already. Not trying to be an *** at all man. You buy them from Nissan service for like a buck each.

Everyone so far has been really cool, but I can tell that this thread has the potential to go nuclear at the drop of the hat. So I'll try and be proactive and remind everyone that this is the tech area, so stay on topic and no shenanigans.
