Brake Light Switch Install DIY?

Look under the dash and follow the brake pedal to the highest point you should see the switch.

it is held in place by a locking nut that needs to be loosened so it can be removed.

Make a note of the position of the original so the replacement is installed correctly.

If the adjustments off the brake lights will either stay on while no brakes are being applied or they won't come on since its over adjusted.


EDIT: IF your brakes light do come as normal? There's nothing wrong with the tail light switch and you'll have to disregard my above instructions.

I just checked and all the brake lights turn on as normal. Could the switch still be the issue?
