Then look at the demographic and the number of cars totaled. It's a brutal car to insure.

My insurance got cut in half moving to a car with nearly 100 hp more

Look no further than the first reply.

High risk vehicle with expensive parts. All the reasoning that is needed.

one's a not-so-fast tank and the other is a sports car. and the 2 claims and 2 tickets didn't help either

I live in NY and my insurance went from $1,360/6mo on my 2010 370z to $1,009 on my CPO 2008 335xi coupe. The Z is quite expensive to insure

yea its nice. I'm 23 btw. How on earth does red6spd insure his versa and Z for 200 more than i pay per 6 months for my 335. That doesn't make any sense. I'm 23 as well, have geico as well, have no tickets or accidents, live on long island, and i paid that much just to insure my Z.

You probably don't have bare minimum coverage, do you?

well according to the premium listed on esurances website for me it totals out to 747.59 for middle of the road full coverage, but thanks to this thread i noticed that i am actually paying more per month to them then what my total premium devides up into. They are billing me at $150.40 a month when my premium comes out to $124.60 per month so i sent them a nice e-mail tonight to let them know that i am on to their little game there lol.

one million dollars in coverage is pretty lol-worthy. Yeah yeah I know it was like 5 bucks more, but I bet that was the same rationale you used for all your other coverages, netting you an additional $80/month when it's all said and done.

I had been a Geico customer for 8 years until recently. For some reason they seemed to have disproportionately high premiums compared to every single other provider I looked at. Allstate, Progressive, State Farm, Metlife, & finally Nationwide. Each of these competitors had premiums within $10-$20 of each other. Geico was out of the park at near double anything they charge. There arent enough positive reviews out there to state that Geico's claims handling is this good so I dumped them for Nationwide, which impressed me with their near 0 wait times and American phone service personnel. They also never once tried to slip in higher coverages or addon's for things I didnt ask for. Clean webpage to boot.

I was paying 133/mo for just my vehicles... I added my wife and my wifes vehicle and it went down to 130/mo with the 300/300/100

You must be a stellar driver!! That's a very good rate

I went with 1 mill liability and most other areas are covered well.

My premium is only $760 for 6 months full coverage incl zero deductable glass with a bad speeding ticket on my record with a $500 deductible

I'm not going to bust out my policy and give you exact amounts but when you lease a car you need to raise all your coverage amounts for both cars. So I'm covered pretty well.
