Anyone know why this is? were they trying to maybe sell it off to someone else for a higher price or something?
My guess would be that they feel like they've made the sale so you've dropped off the radar. You could always give them a scare and tell them that you're considering something else since you never heard from them.

Why are there so many sorry car dealerships/salesmen (I know there are a few good ones, but they're few and far between)? First, I wish they could please realize they are not doing me a favor by selling me a car. Secondly, these people are "professionals", so why are so many of them clueless about the cars they sell? Most of them have probably had plenty of time on their hands lately, so why not read some of those brochures floating around the showroom.

That may be the case. I called a few dealers nearby and told them the scenario, then said 'can you match it?'

I figure if they can, they would be my second and third options. I am just a little afraid that ill show up and the dealer will try to raise the price and ill walk away empty handed after a 2 month wait, and theres nothing worse than THAT.

At least if they try and pull that, ill have a back-up dealer or two who can match the price and I can just drive down the street and give the other dealer my business...

I suggest you just walk into you dealer tomorrow, look for the person that sold you the car and just slap him. Then just walk out.

He'll start to wonder who you are and what would be the reason for you to slap him. Hench, he will call you the next day saying, "Hey, you're cars in. I would've never remembered had you not slap on the face yesterday. Come pick it up..."

That wasn't supposed to be funny.
