Plus I am finding out exactly what I needed....no major issues I have seen so far....plus it sounds like the mods are limited which is exactly what I am looking for...I have wasted so much on mods historically that its time to save some money..
Nismo's are very nice if you don't plan on heavy modding. But based on your history you will soon be bitten by the mod bug and will be modding again . So unless you really like the nismo body style and don't plan on changing its looks, I'd like to recommend you get the sport model and use the rest of the money on aftermarket stuff. I personally think it will be more fun. Good luck with your purchase!

Only thing I hate about it is when I scrape the underside of the front lip. It's so low. Oh and don't get black. It's a pain in the *** to keep it looking nice.

The most annoying thing about the Nismo is that it isn't FI from the factory, and for the price difference it should be.

I mean, Ford gives you a lot of performance upgrades when you shell out for a Boss 302 or GT500. Why can't Nissan do the same?

It's easily the best looking 370 out of the box though. And if you do decide to mod a Z to end up with a better car for less money, start with a sport package; the base won't come with decent wheels, rev-match, or the LSD. All of those are things you want.

I love the Nismo and everything about it.

I disagree with "if you buy a Nismo you don't have to mod it". I like they way they look and I love modding mine.

Owning a 370z Nismo is a dream come true for me. I remember standing in the Nissan dealership a couple years ago wishing I could afford one.

Now I have one I love it.

Forgot to answer your question;

There are 2 things I hate about the Nismo:
1. Parking around others
2. Getting stuck behind trucks

I have the Nismo front end conversion on my car and love how it looks... but hate how I scrape everything with it. I can't imagine how bad it would be with the car lowered...

Nah, it is not bad at all. Just have to get used to going into places at an angle or use a better entrance. Never had an issue with mine but I have driven lowered stuff for a while and this one is not that low.

I hate how other non Nismo owners on this forum always make fun of us for spending 10k extra for wheels and a body kit. I can't take it anymore from all these cyber bullies ......

On a serious note.... I hate all the Nismo logos!!! Its cool that the back end has the Nismo logo.... but one for every wheel, the exhaust, the strut bar in the engine bay, both seats, gauge cluster, ect ect... Way over done IMO.

Great car, no issues since purchase in 2011, super happy. The only thing I'd really recommend is a stereo swap.

What do I hate? That I can't drive it in the winter, mainly.

I'm not that into modding cars and I think it's great how it is. It's still, loud, and low... But not too much.

As I always say, yes you can absolutely get a Sport Package Z and add suspension, a body kit and exhaust and a tune or whatever you want and you might come up with something really great but the NISMO is great right off the showroom floor and every part is covered by the warranty.

...and until you buy all the stuff to make your sport/base look the part you might as well have gotten the Nismo to begin with.

Default NISMO Owners tell me...what you hate

I hate the fact that the NISMO is so sexy, I find myself leaving to go to work 30 minutes earlier than i need to, so I can cruise around and show off the NISMO. Blind spot backing up is always scary when close to a big truck, cuz people fly thru parking lots like idiots.
