because when it's sealed off, it's not 100% sealed off. there is still plenty of air around where it can get it from. The Acura RSX intake is almost exactly

because when it's sealed off, it's not 100% sealed off. there is still plenty of air around where it can get it from. The Acura RSX intake is almost exactly like that. only bad part is whenever it would rain my intake would get soaked and i would have to drive extra careful so that it doesn't suck water in. not sure if those would get wet as well on the 370z
