I got a small bottle of Prima nero for like $15 or something. Well worth trying it out. heck, if you want I can send you a small sample of it. I use it like Kenchan in that I dilute it 50/50 with water
I still use 303 on my other vehicles and parents vehicles so it wont go to waste.

Zerocool 07-03-2014 08:19 PM

Changed the oil today, man was it dirty.

Thanks! I'll order a small bottle from Amazon and try it out. I'll keep my 303 for the second car. :tiphat:

Id rather stick to the tried and trusted 303. Helps prevent cateracts in headlights since 2008.

dilute nero 50/50 with distilled water. that's the formula i use on my cars.
so that little bottle can last you twice as long.

i dont think it's really necessary to do this service, but i like to do it when
my car reaches 5yrs.

i use a turkey baster with an extension tube (syringe would also work)
and suction out the steering fluid from the reservoir. then fill new
fluid 999MP-AG000P to middle of the cold line (min/max).

i place cardboard under the front tires, start engine, turn the steering lock
to lock 10 full cycles. shut off car and repeat until the fluid is a bright
red color.

one bottle of 999MP-AG000P can do 2 fills. :D

Thank you kindly. :tiphat:

I started using a product from PBMA that goes on a bit like a wax to protect the plastic headlights. I like 303 for UV protection but this doesn't leave a greasy film. Check it out:

I assume having the front end lifted off the ground would do the same thing? Or does there need to be a load on the system when you turn lock to lock?

LunaZ 07-04-2014 10:30 AM

Finally ponied up for the ZSpeed undertray.
Install it this morning while the weather and driveway was cool.
No photos of it or the install since everyone knows what this looks like. Removed the trap door and was like "this is a thing of beauty!"

Next on my list is some race ramps. Jacking this car up is a pain in the a$$, not to mention downright scary.

Nice! Ugh, too many products and choices! My car products "closet" in the garage is already bigger than my food pantry in the kitchen. Lol.

What lift points are you using for the jack stands?

LunaZ 07-04-2014 04:07 PM

I lifted the car up by the side rail and put the stands under a solid frame member.

14ZTSport 07-04-2014 04:39 PM

Moved her into the driveway to ideally avoid wayward bottle rockets this evening, and spot cleaned some bird strikes off the hood and driver's side hatch. Probably scraped another 1/32 of plastic off the diffuser pulling into the driveway...

Jackstands for me. I have had the car completely off the ground for days and been under it for hours at a time with no issues. The only time I am concerned is when I try something not so safe, like lifting one side of the car to slide the trans back under, while the other side is still on the stands, don't ask.

As for what I did, I began peeling the plastidip off the handles, in preparation to swap for some Equalme paint-matched handles.

Polished, waxed and installed z1 hood struts nice fit

OldFart 07-04-2014 06:38 PM

Actually had the afternoon off and leisurely worked on the car. Overkill but installed my oil pan spacer and mocked up the oil cooler. Tore off the front nose for the Nismo coversion. Installed Whiteline front sway bar. Next plan of attack in the morning is to remove front struts for coilovers, do a bit of detailing on the driver side front... Get ready to put the SPL control arms, Fortune coilovers and R1 Concepts drilled rotors on the driver side.

Did you have to do any modifications to the front sways? I had to drill my Whiteline fronts out before I could fit the end links.
