Yesterday was Wash/Clay Bar/Wash/Wax day. I think today's agenda is some cruising around 2769 and Lime Creek Rd.

I had to postpone, lack of sleep got the better of me. I think I'm on like 6 hours since Friday afternoon? When I do make it out there I'll for sure give you a heads up! Might be next Sunday if the weather is nice.

Pintsize725 06-29-2014 01:47 PM

They're forecasting rain all of next weekend. :(

I'm headed to Lime Creek around 430 or 5 today.

Pintsize725 06-29-2014 04:20 PM

Letting her cool down after the run. She'll be getting a bath next. Saw a silver one headed up that way as I was headed back.

4 Attachment(s)
Washed, clay barred, compounded, polished and waxed it.(for my wife)

Zerocool 06-29-2014 10:10 PM

Walked to my car after my shift ended only to find it bombed by bird sh1t. Used turtle wax bug and tar remover. That stuff works wonders!

aszyd 06-29-2014 11:30 PM

Dumped the transmission's oil all over the floor of my garage. FML!

I did finish the header install though, I guess that's a plus.

Bananaz 06-29-2014 11:52 PM

Washed friday night, and saturday morning I clay barred, polished, and waxed her and damn she's never been this clean. Still need a more aggressive polish for the swirls but she's very clean and I'm happy.

Finished washing the Z and went on to just check the tire pressure on the new rear S-04's from last week, and found the air pressure at 46psi on both :|

Dropped them down to 36psi :ugh2:

So I just ordered a new fast intentions TDX CF exhaust.. I already have one on my car but there is a story behind all of this..

So about 3 weeks ago a tow truck from A-AAbandoned Vehicle towed my car in Arlington, Texas.. and they caused cosmetic damages to the CF canisters.. and it hasn't caused a leak or any performance damages just a nasty scrape, thankfully, but they are damaged..
After taking my car to get inspected and haggling with the tow company they finally cut me a check to reimburse me for the F.I. TDX exhaust:happydance: (rear CF section only since that is all that was damaged)..
So I just got off the phone with Tony and I will be getting it in 6-8 weeks and selling my old one since it's still fully functional after I get the new one on!

Awesome day!

kenchan 06-30-2014 12:46 PM

but 6-8 wks? :icon14: a car can be built in 8wks...

Vegitto-kun 06-30-2014 01:13 PM

went to pick up the megane from tom.

aaand then he asked me if I have ever been cursed or if stuff break around me.

as you know my amuse kit got shipped like 4 times before it finally arrived with the rear wing broken.

he and my dad gave up on the amuse wing so they have decided to get a CF seibon wing....it arrived in belgium today....it was damaged.

so whooo another 2 weeks before they ship a new one. thank god it's on a plane.

my car and me are cursed.

kenchan 06-30-2014 01:16 PM

is that on DHL? :ugh:

oh well this body kit ******** has been going on for like 2 year now. :shakes head:

shipment got lost like 2-3 times. then amuse told us to deal with a middleman. we gave him the shipping money. he never returned the calls and basically disappeared. in the end we gave up and got a replica from an american business. its really a shame that amuse made us pay the shipment every single time. not our fault that the shipping they use is so shitty.

and then the american kit came in. spoiler broken. then a whole mess with insurance since I think it was UPS was refusing to pay money because we accepted the other boxes. i think in the end the american company just gave the money for the spoiler back because insurance wasn't being helpful.

it's really sad because I am now looking at a replacement for my Z(WRX STI) since the thing is 5 years old now. about 60.000 miles on it and its just. I got two dogs now. my amurican fiancé is moving in in two months. so yeah we can't take the dogs anywhere and if we want to go like camping or do something we need a bigger trunk. plus I really really don't like RWD anymore. I got some scares lately and it's stuck in me and I want AWD. :shakes head:

I love my Z but honestly I can't have much fun with it anymore.

kenchan 06-30-2014 03:20 PM

ordered a few bottles of nissan steering fluid... i just realized my Z is old. :ugh:

Back in England you'd call a "mileage correction" company to fix that.

I've been out of town since Wed last week. Within 30 minutes of arriving home today, I warmed her up, spun the tires a bit, and filled her up some with premium. Ahh, it's good to be home  :driving:
