Picked up the LED bracket from CarbonSignal Automotive for my 2015+ Nismo bumper. It'll be painted black and should have a nice contrast with the PWZ.

Just picked it up from the tint shop. Excuse the lazy effort in taking the pic. 40% all around, which is as far as I wanted to try my luck with the local police.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2099ef5f94.jpg

Monday night I installed new EVO-R side view mirrors. I am loving the wide angle and smaller forward obstruction aspects of them, which are the reasons I bought them. Fit and finish definitely leave something to be desired (some might say on par for EVO-R). But coming in at nearly $400 in CF, my opinion is they are significantly overpriced. I found a pair opened but unused from a local G owner who was hoping they would fit his car.

The second pic is what they looked like less than 24 hours later after a drive to Houston and back through some nasty weather :driving:

Got my ARK Grip exhaust system and Stillen G3 Intake in the mail today. Planing on doing a install video be on the look out. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...97b3158e53.jpg

I really like mine and I think the quality is pretty good over all and then again I'm function over form kind of guy and as you stated I love the visibility they provide. I hated having to use the oem side mirrors when someone decided to bust my EVO-R's off.

Function is there, no question. I am happy with my purchase.

They look quite good from a few feet away, and the CF is clean. But go in for a closer look, and I feel like there are a number of things done poorly. The mirrors are very light due to the lack of electronics for adjustments, but they still feel like a pair of extremely cheap sunglasses; the base feels much sturdier due to the weight of the metal construction, but the finish and fitment are quite poor. Even the cut edge on the front of the mirrors isn't clean. Had I purchased these with different expectations at full price for a showroom car, I would have felt like I got ripped off.

I think they look good. I will have to check them out in person. Maybe next months Cars and Coffee? As far Evo-R goes, I agree with ya. I think Jay needs to spend some time evaluating quality assurance with his products. However in saying that, I do think his products have gotten better over the last few years.

Got the previously broken in Fast Intentions resonated test pipes tucked in front of the shockwave now. Can hear a slight leak at one of the flanges if I put my ear to it so once my back recovers I'll get back under and tighten it up a bit :icon17:

Got my 1320 resonated test pipes and beluga axle back yesterday. Waiting for my Megan y pipe to come in today :) might make a comparative video... hopefully those demon bolts don't pipe me in the process. I already sprayed some liquid wrench pb on it last night, praying that helps me out

Happened to me two days ago when I fuel starved for the first time. Two bikers had to help me push her out of the road because I was on a bit of a hill and I'm weaksauce.

i have more than half a tank of gas.. the pump isnt priming.. so after starting the car i only got as far as what was left in the line ... random passer by towed me back home with a tow strap

also if you have the ebay tow hooks , use them for show and keep the oem in the trunk

Finally got around to putting 15mm spacers on the front. I'm very happy with how the Z sits now.

I am at odds on what to do. Do an FI twin turbo kit on the Nimso or take that money and start on my 1975 Datsun 280zt. I need a standalone for my 280zt plus a laundry list of other stuff.

What pump are you running? Feels like I am hearing about Aeromotive failures these days.

kenchan 04-22-2017 05:22 PM

motored my Z today and spot qd'ed afterwards.
good sound good looks.. wish it had a bit more torque to match my lightly modded STI/GTI..

Not always bad to be stock ride height.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c71bc7e36e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...78511985ff.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d57999590e.jpg
Had to straddle debris on interstate Monday morning & stopped in rest area to confirm no leaks.
A near miss on oil & trans pan...but reshaped my rt side pipe between TP & mid-pipe.
Had to drive 500mi. Since & just now un-buttoning things for repair.

It will stay an L28. Just say no to the LS7 bandwagon. It will be old school. No Wantabee's as I call them or stupid mirrors on the front fenders.

Cleaned the throttle bodies and air filters. For some reason one throttle body was much dirtier than the other
