Forgot to mention...

Adjusted the hand brake on my Z this morning as well as the one in my brother's Sport this evening. And I just ordered a Aero Workz CF lip!

Is that the one from Anthony's pic earlier today?
I tried looking it up under that name but only found one and it didn't look the same. Got a link by chance?

Of course maybe it didn't look the same because his is so low it was eating grass in the picture :p

Thing about torching it but getting darn torch in there didn't look like it was going to be any easier than a socket. Once I took off the drivers airbox and found just the right angle and combination of swivel extensions (32" worth!) it was cake.

All that's left is to loosen all these Motordyne clamps and adjust it properly - but I'm procrastinating this morning as I'm stiff and sore from spending a few hours under the car on jackstands yesterday.

Did go for a shakedown run last night and holy hell what a difference! :driving:

I'm not sold on this Injen long tube set up...

How the heck is it supposed to get air when it's practically sealed in once the bumper cover is back on???

Spooler 07-01-2016 12:58 PM

Went out and looked at my car. Dr's orders, can't lift anything over 15lbs, bend over, etc. NO Driving. This suxs.

because when it's sealed off, it's not 100% sealed off. there is still plenty of air around where it can get it from. The Acura RSX intake is almost exactly like that. only bad part is whenever it would rain my intake would get soaked and i would have to drive extra careful so that it doesn't suck water in. not sure if those would get wet as well on the 370z

madwi 07-01-2016 01:27 PM

Went for a fun little cruise today. It is about 74*, low humidity and a nice breeze, it doesnt get much better than this.

I know this feel. I had a ****** up knee, doctor told me no driving my car at least because it was a manual. I disregarded him and ended up having a really bad time

Rain wouldn't be an issue on this one. Not a chance. Literally the only open part is the gaps left around the tube going back into the engine bay.

I'll give it a try, but not terribly sold on the design. There might be a way to open it up into the grill inside the fangs, like how the Stillen brake duct works.

Will see what happens.

Yeah, just like that except instead of ducting up towards where the factory airbox would have been can cut a hole in the panel to the side and pump it into the new Injen filter location.

Would be pretty straight forward. Thanks for the link.

ChaseZ 07-01-2016 03:03 PM

The new Injen washer fluid bottle doesn't clear the LED lights in my bumper. Had to massage it in there.

But in any case it's in. Time for a shakedown run :)

Same way the stock air intake setup does :)

Jayhovah 07-01-2016 09:49 PM

Took the day off work and spent the afternoon with the Z...Swapped my OEM plugs for GTR plugs... installed a CJM fuel tap with mini-pressure gauge... and installed the boost sensor for my boost gauge.

Except that they go to different places and there is a block off plate in between - which I did remove when I buttoned it back up to be able to get some fresh air in there.

Installed my Swift springs and 25/20mm wheel spacers. Makes a huge difference in the look of the vehicle for relatively cheap!
