I enjoyed a leisurely drive from Fayetteville to Springdale in my rented Maxima this morning at 0630. I was uninspired.

I was going the speed limit (~10mph faster than him) and passed him at the merge sign several hundred feet before the lane markers actually end, at which point there is a still a good bit of room to merge. Absolutely no need.

Later I was behind a BMW who insisted on not accelerating and leaving large gaps in front of him. Those gaps were typically filled immediately, and he felt the need to flash his high beams at every single car that got over in front of him. lol wtf ...

Reminds me of the joke: What's the difference between a BMW and a camel?

The camel has the ******* on the outside :bowrofl:

Put my Nismo up for sale so I can buy a 97 Nissan Skyline. Anyone want it? Lol.

Was it the drive, scenery, or the Maxima? I could see it being the Maxima. I thought AR had some nice scenery though. But if it was 10 miles intercity, that could be ... um ... something less inspiring.

The drive home from work and doctor was also somewhat of a bummer, it rained. Now I really need to schedule auto maintenance this weekend. Oil/filter change indicator came on as well.

It was just the whole experience -- the scenery, Pontiacs, Pawn Shops, Pickup Trucks -- the whole groovy scene...

Far out man, P cubed ... Sounds like you were in a scene from reality TV on the Velocity channel.

:icon17: Right on, brother. Rise up against the Man.

jpkirk 04-01-2015 09:58 AM

And now?

Are we not, the Man? Sometimes I feel like the Man. My son tells me that I am the Man. So does my daughter. Totally goes against my vibe.

I used to keep up the daily struggle, but have become the Man, as you have stated.

jpkirk 04-01-2015 10:02 AM

So we didn't rise up against, we rose up to become.

woops.

I'm having fun though. Is there something wrong with that? I have decided no.

Looked at the Z in the garage covered with dirt from yesterdays rain.

I just run Hankook V12's, I go through tires a lot, these are a great bang for the buck. I normally go with a 305/30/19 rear, but V12's are disco'd so I grab these up cheap-ish. And I have a spare 285, just in case.

kenchan 04-03-2015 10:29 AM

took my z off flatstoppers this am, adjusted psi. inspected all vitals. :D

will do the oil change tomorrow if it's not too cold outside. :ugh:

BC416 04-03-2015 11:04 AM

Dropped off the Z at a local body shop for some touch up work on the rear bumper. It was done when they said it would be, reasonably priced, and it looks great. Can't beat that.

Hopefully everything goes smoothly this weekend and I get my Sport Rays back on along with my F.I. exhaust installed.

kenchan 04-03-2015 11:06 AM

sounds good, bc.

Malm 04-03-2015 11:31 AM

Should get a leather shift boot today. Going to dress up the 7at shifter and play around with some 3m cf wrap on some interior pieces

Had a very productive morning:

Brake bedding to get rid of deposits- juddering has minimized, but i still think i need to do another session.

Oil/filter change- as part of the 2 yr maintanance items ill be doing in the next two weeks. Tranny and diff oil change, cleaning K&N filter, changing cabin air flter all coming soon. replaced brake fluid and wipers recently so no need for that now. Have to inspect drive belts to see if they need replacing.

Gave her a quickie... Wash that is! Now she is looking sexier :yum:

Interested in this. I know there are some existing threads about doing this, but please post pics and feedback, when you're finished, if you don't mind.

Put my new Race Ramps to good use, changed oil and removed my oil cooler blocking plate since the heat has returned in force. The ZSpeed undershroud access door made it nice and easy, even with a thermostatic sandwich plate in place
