Went out in the cold rainy night to set up the new season clock setting and ended up rocking out to led zep in the driveway.

Waiting for its transformation and all this wait has been a pain in the rear. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping I get her back by next week. The paint work is challenging and tedious work.

mishuko 03-17-2016 06:31 AM

car still at the shop. dam dinks at the post office being all dinky and not delivering the replacement parts.

hopefully it'll fix and i'll have it back sooner than later. then again I rather they not rush anything and make sure everything is good.

:ugh2:

Got a new Borla exhaust installed today. The 370Z should have sounded this good from the factory. I seem to recall the 350Z sounding better.

Fuzzzy 03-17-2016 03:48 PM

Meekly backed it out of the carport hoping that the rain will wash off most of this hideous yellow pollen.

The pollen seems worse than usual this year--even our cat's white paws are now yellow. He looks stupider than my Z does.

Leingod 03-17-2016 03:51 PM

Haven't seen to many people running tow straps on Z's. The quality on this thing is insane!

While at work, the people paid to do landscaping were apparently blowing leaves and mulch and **** directly at my car for a few minutes. Car is covered in scratches now. Thankfully security recorded them doing this. Going to have a nice conversation with them on Monday

Z_ealot 03-18-2016 04:51 PM

Had a lapse of memory and forgot to check my fuel level today, took a hard right turn and gassed it out of the corner only for the engine to remind me that i was at a quarter tank. Thankfully gas station was right ahead and just glided her in and tossed a few gallons in and fired right back up....annoying

So if the fuel starvation does happen. What's the best course of action?

Hopefully you have a friend willing to help and bring you some gas, or you have a gas can on you....otherwise the tow truck is your best friend lol. Alternatively you can just save up for the cjm kit and never have the issue again

What worked for me was jacking up the driver side rear, really high... started right up and went straight to a gas station.

On-topic:

Ordered a FI oil cooler setup and an AAM intake.

I just... I don't know how I feel about that wing. Some part of me loves it, another part thinks it's over the top, and then another part loves that it's over the top!

I don't think I'd do it, because I don't want to be cutting holes in my rear bumper, but... I could so see myself cutting holes for this. Maybe after I go FI later or something.

Pulled steering lock fuse

Pulled my steering lock fuse. Total cost: 10 minutes of my afternoon, one clip lost in the battery compartment and one ripped fingernail (no blood). My thanks to the forum and the op who figured out this simple fix. :hello:

Breadz 03-19-2016 04:55 PM

Removed plasti dip from valance, then installed z1 fog light and fujimura diffuser http://puu.sh/nMzBE.jpg

Silly Rabbit 03-19-2016 10:47 PM

This took way too much effort. Whiteline bushings, redline gear oil and rear Hotchkins sway bar with Energy end links.

5h drive to Silver City, NM. Met up with Tigger. Drove up the Pinos Altos and down, lunch, then a 5h drive back to Phoenix for me.

Haven't washed her in over a month, then murdered about 10,000 bugs on the drive over and up. :icon17:

Difference with older brushed lips ( I just did the front for now cause of the cold weather )

Brushed lips were nice but they were to dammaged

UGH. Owner of the landscaping company had better pony up for the fix.

Swapped out rear rotors and pads today....pain in the rear, but at least it's done lol :D

I've come to the conclusion that my exhaust is too quiet, so, yesterday, dragonbreath and I installed a set of straight pipe axle backs on my Z. Unfortunately, it was waaaaay too loud. Lots of rasp too. We drove it around for about five minutes and nearly became deaf. I did a few half-throttle pulls and I would venture to guess that I could be heard a half-mile away. This is the only vid that we shot, but it gives you an idea. The rev at the end was only about 3k RPM.
