Received my poly exhaust hangers from Concept Z Performance. Big thanks to Coz for helping me out and getting Torque Solutions to waive the dropship fee even after I agreed to pay it :tiphat:

Called my insurance to only keep theft and fire on effective Dec 1.

DeliriousClam 11-18-2016 01:05 PM

brought it to the auto body shop that I had the nismo wing painted at because the paint was cracking. First they tried to claim that it was because of the quality of the wing then once I proved to them it was OEM and not a knock-off, they said it was because of the stereo. :icon14: after me pulling their teeth, I got them to agree to re-paint it.

Went to the stealership (where she has been for two weeks) and picked up a loaner.

Then I went to my cycling team's party and drank beer.

Definitely interested to see how this goes. What gauges are you putting in?
Are you doing this without pulling the dash?

I am going in from the top. It isn't for the faint of heart, since you have to destroy the factory gauges. However aside from that it is easy and straightforward, and you don't have to pull the whole dash.

I am using 60mm Defi gauges. Oil temp, oil pressure, & water temp are replacing the three factory gauges.

I will take a few more photos of things as I continue.

Washed my car in the rain. Soap it up wash it off then let the rain take away the tap water minerals. Nothing like a distilled water rinse after a wash.

sp911 11-21-2016 09:17 AM

woke up early, threw 2 40 lb bags of wood pellets in the back and drove to work in the snow without any drama. thankfully.

Wheels3309 11-21-2016 12:21 PM

Yeah, we're especially lucky here... our geographic location affords us this wonderful phenomenon called "lake effect".

Louie cat 11-21-2016 08:25 PM

Finally did it

Today I brought my 2010 nismo into Ft lauderdale Nissan to discuss replacing my sticky ugly instrument dash panel that was damaged from the sun.
As usual this dealership really keeps me coming back. The original price to replace with parts and labor is $2956.,The service manager made a call to the general manager who decided to give me a good break since it is out of factory warranty and is something that should have lasted many more years.
I am getting everything for $2215. + 6% tax!
On top of that gave me a free rental until it is done.
Not a bad deal at all:happydance:

Gas pedal foot surgery 7.5 weeks ago. Hard cast taken off last week and given a boot to wear. Stared at the car this morning and decided to start the car just to hear her sing.
I decided to take the boot off, put my sneakers on and drove off. Put in 15 miles of aimless driving on surface streets. Muscle memory never felt so good. Nice to be back on the zaddle.

Ordered an Ark Grip catback the other day from one of the forum vendors. It arrived last night. Ive heard of some fitment issues so I had the local performance exhaust shop install today. Rumors of fitment issues are true, drivers side flex flange was off enough to cause the tip to veer off to the left, rubbing against the cutout, as well as causing the exhaust to rest on cross brace. The shop corrected the issue. The result is a centered and super sexy tone. All the vid clips do absolutely no justice....oh baby. Also installed a couple drop-in R2C filters also purchased from a forum vendor here.

Nice. The ARK Grip has a really mean tone. I was debating between the ARK and HKS but went with the latter due to pricing and shipping speeds.

Nonetheless, the ARK Grip is a beautiful exhaust. Any plans on changing out the cats? I know someone with the ARK exhaust with HFC's and it sounds badass. Kinda loud though.

Red Hot Sloth 11-23-2016 07:19 PM

The HFC's have been on my mind. Im gong to wait for a bit as the tone and volume level at the moment is just intoxicating. Im not ruling them out in the future though.

3.7 ZPA 11-23-2016 09:54 PM

Had these installed today.

Tried to fix 2.5-3.5k rpm hesitation without success. If anyone has an idea on what else i can check, please post here:

Got my new steering wheel. Flat bottom. Napa leather on sides and Alcántara on top and bottom. Ordered it from this guy in England for $400 shipped and I couldn't be more happy. The shipping took literally one day. That's right one day from England to Cali. Ready to install this puppy :happydance:
