Well.... it just gets better and better....:icon14:

No Belle yet and no idea on when she will be done. The insurance company didn't want to pay to blend the hood and sent a check that was $250 light. They wanted the hood left alone, even though iCar and all the other body shop estimating software calls for the hood to be blended when painting either fender or bumper. The adjustor wanted the shop to use a fender from LKQ, but it was wavy as a potato chip. :icon14:

I'm having withdrawals........:shakes head:

Man, sorry to hear. Especially sucks since you don't have a time frame either. Hope they get it straightened out next week and that you get your Z back soon.

Hit that 70,000 mark today. Not bad for a 2012  I love to drive this car everywhere.

I also stripped the interior for some dynamat. The exhaust note is just unbearable. I can't believe I waited this long to do it. No more headache! I still might buy enough for a little layer in the trunk. But I also don't want to add more weight since I love to take this car to the track. But daily driver priorities... I drive on the highway every day.

Also am going to get some expanding foam and spray over a few metal to metal pieces in the trunk and hopefully alleviate the vibrating noises. Having no rear mufflers sux for that reason!

These were a plenty lighter than the OEM seats so I swapped them out :icon23:

Installed slotted rotors, new pads, ss lines, and Motul. As always, a BIG thanks to dragonbreath. The man is a true friend and his wife is a saint.

What rotors did you settle on??

Since my Z is non-Sport, and I couldn't fork over the funds to swap up to the Akebonos, I went with Z1's upgrade package. Not exactly sure who makes the rotors, but I read good things about them and decided to give it a shot. I picked up the package on Black Friday and got a really good deal. Comes with rotors (slotted, or slotted and drilled), several choices of pads, ss lines, and Motul 5.1 or Motul 600.

My Z should be a little more prepared for ZDayZ this May. Last year I had some brake fade on the Tail of the Dragon and things got, uh, interesting to say the least.

You took a right hand turn at under half a tank. Didn't you?? The upgrade kit is a good idea. Even just for the SS lines.

I wish that had been the issue. That would have been much less scary than going in "hot" in to a 90-degree turn with no braking until after crossing the dividing line. If that never happens again, that's just fine with me.

That just means you're ready for an upgrade to some sports car without abs. Hahahahha. You make me feel better about not owning a sport model. I'll have to get the z1 upgrade this spring. Definitely worth it.

I'm thinking another 1968 Moostang GT should fit the bill!

Considering getting Shine auto Spec-S side skirts and rear bumper add-ons. Had a hard time finding out much about them through search. Anyone here have them? If so, How was fitment and install?

Chances are will be putting an order in today for a new clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, and am going to order the Z1 CSC elim kit along with it.

Also should be expecting the CF hood and CF fenders here next week :yup:

You've been waiting on these for a while... Hope you get them in time for the canyon cruise on the 30th

It's only been since Dec. 2nd hahah so I'm just sitting at the 6 week mark and that is usually production time and then until they get it in their warehouse. They'll be here soon Just gotta keep forgetting I ordered them and before I know it it will feel like Christmas again lol :stirthepot:

I'm hoping to have the fenders, hood, clutch, flywheel, and csc installed before the 30th haha. Also Bima and I are watching the weather and will keep everyone informed on the cruise. Cause if it has rained within 3 days of the 30th, chances are we will be calling it off due to icy roads just so we don't have any unfortunate tragedies.

Yeah its what you have to do with production time. When I order my Varis kit I will be literally sitting here and waiting.... for a lonnnnng time... :wtf2:
Talking like 3 or 4 months lol

As for the cruise, we want to go too but if it has rained up there, it gets down to almost 15F at night up there and literally freezes everything out there. There were plenty of instances when the roads were dry last time on the 26th of DEC, and where it was just cold enough to make traction on the tires non-existent at points. It was 26F when we ripped through there on the 26th. I fishtailed going out of a turn multiple times where that didn't happen in November when it was still 40F Add in icy roads and we will be flying off the cliff haha

We just want to make sure it is safe enough to do as well. Trips is already saying we are crazy for going through there with all the rocks that fall off the cliff from wind ahah.
I would say we could switch it to a route over in Malibu, but for a lot of people they would be driving an hour and a half to take a drive for 3 hours to drive back home for an hour and a half lol. SO if it comes down to it and doesn't happen oh well. There is always random ones where we can get together and next month as well. :tiphat:

We definitively should the Malibu route... I don't think it would be that far on a Saturday morning...

birdman71 01-14-2016 01:57 PM

I'd be down for a Malibu run too soon here. Get a nice view of the ocean as well. On top of it it wont be F*IN FREEZING! lol...

I know in April Socal Z is partnering with CVZ to do a Pismo Beach run and I will be going to that

Leingod 01-15-2016 07:01 AM

Since everyone has been asking. It's doing fine in storage. Only 3 more months roughly.

kenchan 01-15-2016 11:57 AM

Yikes...I wish but, that is 100% SOCAL Z bro. I'm not even sure if I'm going. Work this year seems to be more hectic on Saturdays for me...

Went downstairs to see if my Z in storage was still in one piece. I just got back last night from a month in the sun and wanted to see all was good. It is/was.

drove to work early to miss the snow. got there as soon as flakes started. after sitting in the car for 3 minutes to finish listening to a song, it was a white out! went out an hour later at sno-brumed my car off. so far so good in the mild northeast winter. I haven't used any time off avoiding the snow.

We are at a little over 6 inches here today. Another foot by 5 tonight. Needless to say. I'm miserable. Civic got stuck 4 times within the 3.3 mile journey. I dusted the damn roads with enough cat litter to put our useless cities plows right out of business. I bet even the Z could outperform those stupid massive trucks.

Fortunately, I have a bag of 25 I bought on eBay.
