Weather here still acceptable, will be taking her out this weekend for a road trip.. No destination planned yet. Gotta get my drive time in this weekend, going in for a right shoulder replacement on Tuesday.. Hard to shift in a sling for 6 to 8 weeks!!
Will be giving her a wash and wax on Sunday, and putting her to sleep until spring.

Very nice.

Changed the diff fluid. Old fluid came out looking nasty, my car has 7500k miles.

Filled it up with Motul 75-90 gear 300 oil. Definitely felt the difference, car feels better.

Also topped off my oil with like .2qt so, not too happy to find out these things still burn oil. For some reason I thought that was improved from the 350z....oh well

I agree. There are other things to do than just the Z. Many members here who come from the MidWest and East are great at bowling for example :stirthepot:

kenchan 12-20-2015 02:42 PM

u bet. my bowling score looks like my golf score... and vise versa.. :ugh:

Kenchan?

Regarding the V 1 . Do the false signals bother you? Has Valentine started any kind of filtering of false signals?
Thanks

fzgood 12-20-2015 06:40 PM

Ummmm. That's more like the entrance or vista point by Lake Cachuma towards Los Olivos. I can tell by that dry lake. Water line is terribly low. If it weren't for the slow drivers along Route 154 it would have been a more decent drive. If you haven't gone yet, hit this place up along the way. It is a cool place to hang out and then head back on the road.

Cold Spring Tavern

You're right. It's Point View on Lake Cachuma.

Thanks for the suggestion. Ima hit that bar. next time I go.

And yes, Route 154 is definitively full of slow drivers

Oh man, I have so many good memories of that stretch of country. I have driven Hwy 1 from Fort Bragg to Oregon on more than one occasion. The last time was in 2001. My fisrt was in 1979 with my best friends and their parents. It was my first time doing wine tours. I was 19 and they didn't care.:p

Oil change yesterday in preparation for out of town trip today. However, I noticed the toe was pretty far out in front, so I cancelled my trip to get an alignment.

might attempt to do a write-up on how to add a hatch release button in the cabin. That is if there's enough interest

Hotrodz 12-22-2015 08:53 PM

Today was a really good day for me as I got my Nismo back from the shop today. Installed were my Black Friday shopping purchases of Z1 aluminum motor mounts, SPL sub frame bushing and a Wavetrac rear differential. Oh and I had already installed a Sparco Evo II US race seat with Sparco side mounts and Wedge Engineering bracket with a slider. Well the ride is amazing from a pure performance stand point she is true and proper sportscar now. The suspension is tight, the engine is powerful and the responsiveness and acceleration is exhilarating. If you want soft and plush ride this set up is not for you she is built for pure performance. Boost on :driving::driving::driving:

Fun part: Installed Diode Dynamics license plate, backup lights and rear turn signals.

Less-than-fun part: Changed my oil because I overfilled it on my last change. Air bubbles in the oil, threw a CEL and pushed the idle to around 1100.
Hopefully the change took care of it. Thanks to this forum, I was able to clear the code.
I lub you guys. :p
