I think it comes more from the Z guys/gals who have always seen the Z has a 6 cylinder of some sort, and now rumors of a 4 banger is blasphemy.
I don't disagree, if it does go 4 banger turbo it is the end of an era for the Z, but it might be time to redefine the car for the future.
