I tried all of the known workarounds/DIY fixes to no avail in the parking lot of my subway garage. Thankfully I had CAA and the nearest dealership was <5 KM away so it was a free tow... only 5.5 hrs of my time from experiencing the problem to safely at home.
Spoke to the head tech at the dealership today and they confirmed the existence of the TSB and said if that's all that's wrong, then everything would be covered under warranty and I'd be out of there without spending a dime. I'm waiting for a call back when they've had a chance to look at the Z... will report back my findings. Until then, I share with you this sad, sad image:
