Default Car will start sometimes and not start, need advice

About a month ago my car wouldn't start and then it would keep cycling through and not start. 2009 370Z. Bought a new battery and it still does it. Bought a new key fob battery and it still does it. I can push the start button 20 times and it won't start. I can push it once and it will start. Very sparatic. I have 6 days left on the warranty. Taking to dealer tomorrow. Anyone wanna take a stab at it before I take it to the dealer. I'll post the results when I get the car back.

My fiance has this same exact problem in 2009 G37 Sedan.. Been back and forth to the dealership and they said they can't figure it out unless they have it towed in during the problem.

Otherwise if it's the steering lock get in changed ASAP

The only thing that its indicating is the CLUTCH wording and icon on the read out screen when it does not start. Some days it will start all day long and some days it will act up all day long. Started about a month ago. Only 25,000 miles on my 2009 370Z. Like I said earlier, I changed the battery and the battery in the FOB. When you push the start button it cycles to the on position and then turns bak off. Took me 20 pushes today to get it to start. Then tonight it started right off the bat. Then I went to pull it out of the garage to wash it and it wouldn't start. HELP!!!

Doea the car start if the key is in the fob holder?

Did you recently get a stereo installed? Maybe the RF antenna got disengaged under the center console?

Just dropped it off at the dealer and I told him about the clutch word appearing across the display menu. So he pushed the clutch in and it wouldn't start. So then the service rep pushed the clutch in real fast 3 times and the car started. He said the clutch switch is bad. He did the procedure all over again, car wouldn't start. Then once again he pumped the clutch and it started. Good thing its under warranty still. I'm sporting a Nissan Rogue today

Ok got the 2009 370Z back from the dealer. The Clutch Switch was burnt out. Would have been a 250 dollar pymt but the warranty covered it. So now I have 3 days left on the warranty, should I extend it?

cool! if you haven't replaced your steering lock yet, you might want to extend it. that's probably the next thing to go.

How much does it cost to extend warranty vs cost of a new steering lock?

as reference, people that had their steering lock replaced by dealer without warranty paid about 800-1000 (includes tow).

people that replaced DIY paid about 475-500 and 15min of time.
