Now you can get replica Amuse kits for the cheap, but not a 1:1 comparison on material used & fitment.
I thought the authentic Amuse kit was one of the more expensive kits and was just barely more than the Nismo kit. Maybe there just aren't as many full kits out there as I thought. But you're right about the replicas - no comparison.

I guess my line of thought is that it seems like the Nismo has a lot of different parts that aren't part of the aesthetics of the kit but are needed for fitment vs an aftermarket body kit designed specifically to replace the main five pieces on the base model (2 bumpers, 2 side skirts, 1 spoiler). I noticed in dm's thread that the extra recommended items just for the Nismo front bumper conversion totaled almost $1K (MSRP). Of course, not all these pieces are probably necessary to install the main visual components of the kits, so I'm sure that, along with diligent price searching and a good compromise on which parts are installed, you could save significantly off the dealer price for the kit. I do wonder what the potential cost difference could be. Maybe $4K for a DIYer with minimal parts? And what about a dealer invoice nearing 10K if you include all possible relevant parts and install costs?
