I found a magnetic pinch rail adapter online. The website is zl1addons.com. I just placed it on the pinch rail at the front jacking point, and my floor jack lifted the whole side of the car. Didn't even scratch the paint on the pinch rail.

That's their "Universal" model, right? Do the bottoms of the pads come out lower than the bodywork for sure? Or can you snap a pic of one installed, from the side, showing the clearance? These look like they would be awesome for use with my low-rise lift BTW, I found them on Amazon, too: ZL1 Addons 2640 Pinch Weld Universal Magnetic Jack Pads - Set of 4 : Amazon.com : Automotive

Yeah, a lot of it you can get at HF. My can racks from Griot's and my can racks from HF are exactly the same except for the Griot's sticker and $15 ea.

But ya got to admit the jack stands are sexy...

This is what i did for catback install (pic)... floor jack to lift high enough to insert jack stands on each side near rear tires. worked just fine for catback install.

Are you suggesting that suspension mods are for immature drivers?

Stance kiddies are generally immature (or at least under developed in their brain) if that's what you're referring to. But there are plenty of legitimate suspension mods for drivers who need improvements over the stock suspension, regardless of age

Well, I've never been called anything other than immature, so that might explain it, but I'm certainly old enough to qualify, yet I went and put Swifts on my car.
If you're convinced your stock Z rides is perfectly, then that's great. No point laying out the money if you don't need to.
OTOH, there are plenty of mature (and some immature) people here who think the stock ride sucked and have made changes. Just don't take a ride in a Z with Swifts.
The stock ride had me thinking of selling mine, that's how 'perfect' I thought it was. The Swifts made me a believer.
