I thought it was just a problem with 2009-2010's. But my VIN is a hundred or so within the affected range on that PDF. But curiously, I'm pretty sure I do not have a steering lock. There are no noises or clicks from the steering column when I start/stop the engine. And I'm pretty sure that the wheel can be turned when the car is off. I'll have to check at lunch. I bought it new, and I haven't disabled anything. I'll take another look at the excellent write-ups that are over on the DIY thread and see what I've got going on under my dash.
