Default Steering wheel lock failure 2010 Nismo

You can add me to the RevB fail list.
I parked the car in my normal spot at work yesterday and haven't been able to move it out since.

The yellow key light came on. I did the reading and concluded steering wheel lock failure. The key works just fine on doors. The lights all work fine as well as horn so no battery issues.

I went through the steps of getting it unlocked to drive to the dealer and grab the part but no luck.
---battery disconnect for 10 min but that just brought my windowsdown
a little bit every time I opened the door ( good thing it rained here all
night in Dallas)

--- I unplugged the steering lock mechanism and tapped at it gently then
not so gently, plugged it back in and beat at it some more while
pressing the start button. I did every direction possible for about 45
min. I tried this morning for a good hour as well. Nada

I ordered the RevD, 48700-JF00D- they had it in stock and I've DIYed the removal and install. It's rather annoying to be stranded. I was lucky this happened at work, 5 miles from my house but for those who don't have another car or are far from home this is the biggest inconvenience on something Nissan KNOWS will fail and refuses to recall it.

Sorry to hear it man. I agree 100% on the "not wanting to recall". I had the opportunity to do an owner's satisfaction survey and repeated this annoyance to them throughout the survey.

Here's the fix for your windows.

I can't get car to budge off " LOCK" no ACC, no ON or I would try it but I appreciate it. . It's covered while I wait for the part.
It seems like everyone has been able to get the steering unlocked by hitting the column or the lock itself. I may be looking at the IPDM malfunctioning.

we will see later today/tomorrow.

I just looked at it closer ..I have the JF00C manufactures in 4.8.2009. I thought I had a B but I got the iffy C. I tried one last time last night and was thinking about how it's probably time to sell the car after all is fixed and it came on. My loving finace, he was pushing the start button wile i was going at it with a rubber mallet and pushed it back to lock after we had it alive for a split second, lol. took another 15 min or so and we got it to life for a second time.

put in ACC- pull the white clip with wires - cut brown wire - move wire ends as far from eachother as you can ( tape later for safety) - connect clip- start car. I've been driving all morning and no issues.

I may keep the part in case someone needs it in an emergency like I. I can sympathize.
