the clutch pedal in my 04 G feels heavy, but i get better feedback. when i removed the helper spring in my 09 Z, it made a world of difference.

the clutch pedal in my 04 G feels heavy, but i get better feedback. when i removed the helper spring in my 09 Z, it made a world of difference. then got a century spring(?) locally from some guy selling it. it feels a lot better than stock. not quite as good as the G's, but the gearbox feels a lot better in the Z.

SRM works best when braking moderatly to hard. if one's braking lightly, you can either clutch-out slower or give it a tap of blip to ensure smooth engagement.

I for one have grown to like the Nismo. I'll admit I didn't like it at first, but it does have a sleek and sportier look. It might be better than the "cat fish" remark everyone else gets. Whatever floats your boat.

I love manual transmission cars, but I have to admit that I wish I got the Z's impressive auto system instead of their jerky 6MT. Oh and you can turn off SRM. I for one love that system.

there is a world of difference between the Zs automatic and 6mt. I might cross back over to an automatic...not sure though

Only in my wildest dreams. I wish some billionaire on this site would make a 370Z to GTR conversion.

Pretty sad that we have a GTR Juke and no GTR Z.

well, the only thing i will say is the clutch feel of being too soft is easily fixable with a slight adjustment and a different spring. night and day

I test drove both Sport/touring and the Nismo before my purchase and really loved how the Nismo handled. There is a big difference. Nismo was tighter hands down. Clutch feel was the same. The Nismo body lines were 100% better. I disagree with JungleZ calling it rice. The deal breaker for me was no nav and leather option (which by the way is offered outside the US).
Try test driving with another dealership. At universal city Nissan the guys can take you to a canyon about a mile from the dealership. There are nice curves up there.

Surprised so many people feel the SRM is rough, I love it, rarely turn it off. Its probably the reason I engine break lol. The downshifts are butter. Its really good for time attack as well..

Z clutch definitely takes some learning, but once you get it, its fine. More challenging to manipulate than other cars...it can make you feel like a newbie until you get it.

Are you guys complaining the Z clutch being too soft or too stiff? Or the on/off switch kinda feeling?

both...it's drivers preference on clutch feel. I'm use to mine feeling somewhat firm. As for the SRM, My Z does not have it so I wanted to do the test drive with it on. I do understand that it takes some getting use to if one is use to rev matching their self.
