Default Just got back home from test driving another z before I make my decision.

They only had an auto, and said they may be able to find the 6 speed I want. I was bummed, but i decided to stop at the chevy on the way home and they had one 2SS in, and they wont let you test drive it, and they wont let it go for anything under 38grand. WTF are they smoking? Im sorry, but I just dont see how anyone can pay that much for that car. The outside is okay, but it is so big it looks like a sedan, and the interior looked cheap to me.

Anyone else feel the same?

the problem is that they brought the old styling to the interior....
the exterior is a nice idea but they should have a modern interior...

Yes...Let me line up to buy a car/truck built by disgruntled employees.

I'd stay a mile away from any GM product at the moment.

I did the same thing... with all the hype about the new Camaro I went in to take a look, and apparently all the vehicles they have a pre-sold so they aren't giving out test drives. But one look was enough for me because of its ridiculous size. That thing is HUGE.

The kicker is that the salesman was talking about how he loved driving it... so apparently they let the salesmen drive em but not us. No wonder the company went bankrupt.

The front grill is the only thing that reminds me of a sports car. I had one beside me on the highway for a few miles and didn't even realize it until i passed it and saw the grill. Looks like a family car all the way around except for the front. Thats just me 2 cents. Not hating or anything, its a good car.

I like the Camaro's exterior styling, but the interior just fell far too short from the concept car making the complete package disappointing.

The american V8s just keep getting heavier and crappier-handling, even though they're still upping the BHP on them over previous generations. I'd still take my '99 WS6, for all its faults, over any of the new GM/Chrysler V8 muscle cars (and even that car is a fat pig handling-wise compared to the 370Z).

The plus side is that the aftermarket for those engines is enormous, making it cheap to up the power a lot. In terms of dollars spent to reach a given time in the 1/4 mile, go with the Chevy over the Z. But it will never have the finesse and handling the Z does.

The Mustang has actually gotten better.

With the track pack I think it does about a 70mph slalom and .94Gs. And having driven one there is a lot of body roll, so with a suspension kit it will be niiice.

I am still mulling over trading the Z in on one!!!

The reviews of the new SS have all praised its handling. Pretty much every magazine is pulling upwards of 0.98 G's. That's really impressive.

The first few paragraphs of Edmunds review get into its handling.

Im glad Im not the only on that feels this way. I mean I kept seeing vids and hearing it get hyped up only to be left dissapointed. I am a lover of all performance vehicles no matter who makes them, but I just could not look at that vehicle as something sporty. I mean I know it is a muscle car, but it is to big in the wrong areas IMHO.

It just looks like a body style that is already dated. Even though the Charger is heavier, it looks sportier to me from the outside. I also dont understand how they are getting so much money for them. I mean for those prices you could get a nice used C6 and call it a day.

The mustang has a shit interior, but it's always been that way. It's always been the more economical choice to the higher priced, but somewhat nicer f-bod twins. And since it's always been that way, any slight improvement is an improvement of leaps and bounds
