What soap are you using for that kind of foam? I am using Megs NXT ultimate wash. I think I have 3 gallons left lol. If I mix 2 OZ in my foamer it looks like that.

I didn't do anything to my Z per say...... This was actually yesterday. Z got delivered to the body shop to reconstruct my baby



Had the tow truck driver lift the car high enough for me to take a pic of the undercarriage. Looks good



This is behind the broken spindle arm wheel. Doesn't look like anything other then the balljoint and the spindle arm is damaged/broken.



And this is my **** eyed Z lol A Z would look beast pully a wheely....just saying. You can see the 2 different directions the front wheels are facing.

Swapped out my 7AT diff. with 1slow370 for his 6MT diff. with a Quaife LSD and 3.692 final drive gear. Really cool guy. Had a great time working on the car. Only done two launches so far but it puts power to the ground so much better. The almost 10% increase in every gear is awesome too. Stays right in the power band. Will post up a review after I've had time with it.

p.s Looked like cruise control worked at first, but on the second test it started blinking at me and failed. I don't really care either way though.

Sucks man. Any idea why it failed? Bad install, not torqued properly, bad part from the factory?

Torque and bad install do not mater when this is the part that breaks lol. Not sure why it failed, stress fractures, contaminated during casting, not enough money for me to prove anything or truly find out what happened. All I know is this sucks Insurance was trying to say it was because of the SPC camber arms but that makes no sense. Then the shop told her that it wouldn't effect the actual spindle arm in anyway as far is rigidity or strength goes.

Not quite sure what you are talking about when you say incorrect... I said "normal driving" - i.e. not Schedule 1 or Schedule A where you stop and start a lot without getting the engine temps up. It has nothing to do with the amount of stop signs or stop lights or traffic; it's exclusively for people who stop and start the car a lot without letting it reach normal operating temperature (like a courier or delivery driver or something). I can sit in traffic for 10 minutes and reach 200F+

Normal driving is Schedule 2 or Schedule B (depending on the owner's manual). Also, my owner's manual (which I have read) says 7500 oci for that schedule, not 7000

Really bro...really? It actually does. If you are waiting for 10 other people to drive through a stop sign your car is getting......HEAT SOAK. Same applies with driving in city with lots of stop lights. Accelerating and stopping creates a lot of heat under the hood VICE driving down the freeway at a nonstop or avg speed where there is constant air flow to the engine, oil cooler, etc. So in theory it has everything to do with it because its a "driving style" compared to someone like me where I worked 2nd shift and I could make a 50 mile trip to work in 55 min without getting below 40mph for 95% of the trip.Only 2 miles on city roads means the car stayed cooler and consistent driving temps made for oil longevity vice sitting in bumper to bumper traffic heat soaking the hell out of the car. Hope this explanation helps. Thanks for the correction on the 7000, I truly meant 7500.

I understand that heat can shorten the life of the oil. I guess my point is that normal city driving (a daily commute with stop signs, stop lights, and a good bit of traffic) doesn't necessitate following the severe maintenance schedule. These cars are built to tolerate those conditions. If you sit in hardcore traffic for 3 hours per day in a hot climate, then sure, you should probably follow the severe schedule.

Maybe I don't understand how heatsoak when my oil temps are 200F and I'm stopped at a stoplight is shortening the life of the engine oil more than 240F oil temps while driving 85 mph on the local toll road in 100F+ air temps.

All that being said, there is nothing wrong with changing your oil sooner rather than later. That is probably for the best. I just think there are very few people out there that need to worry about following the severe maintenance schedule as lined out in the manual, and if you do, there is a lot more than just the oil change that you should pay attention to. All of the fluids are recommended to be changed at half the interval as the normal schedule.
