March 30th (Saturday – 105db) – LS ($279)

April or May (working on a date) – BW ($189)

June 3rd (Monday – 92db) – LS ($239)

Sept. 22nd (Sunday) – SP ($229)

Oct. 21st (Monday) – TH ($169)

Nov. 24th (Sunday) – SP ($279)

I just wished for another Laguna Seca, but I am happy as a clam. the club won't accept any 90db LS days.

 tell me what the BW, LS etc mean.... TY:tup:

Thank you. I've never been to Button Willow before , although I've heard, quite bumpy.

130 db is loud alright. You need to go slowly uphill past sound check booth at LS.

Laguna seca raceway -- this would be a blast.....
got a ride on the track in a mazda pickup when I was visiting out there...

oh, got my Z washed today, a least it will be clean for a moment....

Dead Bird!!!!!

Pulled a dead bird out of my grill this morning in the parking lot at work.

I was walking away from the Z and taking a last look back at her before entering the building when I noticed what I thought was a leaf in the grill. Walked back to pull it out and found out it was a sparrow.

Have no idea when in my commute I ended its life.

I guess some Z owners hunt birds instead of Evos! :rofl2:

Drove her to work. Got news of Flash Flood imminent from afternoon til tomorrow evening. Told boss I was going home and hightailed my Fairlady back home before I got stranded on a freeway somewhere.

Nailzs 01-08-2013 04:52 PM

Drove to work today. Parked in the shade of a BIG oak tree but not under it so my Z wouldn't get bird bombed. Walked to the car after work to find a big SPLAT on the hood! Seems I missed the telephone line directly overhead.

UnReal 01-08-2013 05:09 PM

Drove to work and got a full detailing on the lunch.

Some di-noc 3M pseudo carbon fiber vinyl should arrive tomorrow. Door handles, mirrors, and key fob wraps this weekend. If there's enough, b-pillars too.

Nice! But I guess the squeaking/crying noise issue will get even worse if your fiance sees this list.:icon17:

I bought a $450 rearview mirror (plus backup camera/home link/auto-dimming/etc) and I got a much stranger low tone grumble. It wasn't my exhaust. You think I should sent the Z into the shop to see if they can find/duplicate the noise?

The REALLY strange part: I wasn't even in the car when the noise happened. I was in the house.

F winter. Washed and waxed the car over the weekend and there's already a fine layer of filth on it with no weather.

Similar to my problem. 4 days sunshine 1 day possible chance of rain. Eh... let's give her a bath...and of course, it ends up raining. Rinse, repeat. :shakes head:

Then spring will come and the pollen will make you say, "F spring"...then the dust in summer, the leaves and acorns in fall.....:icon14:

RN SHARK 01-09-2013 11:15 AM

Washed the car and stripped all the old wax off with Griot's Paint Prep yesterday. Today I'm about to take the satin stretch cover off and clay bar the crap out of it. After that will be Meguiar's M105 then M205 paint correction. Wish me luck!

New year, new mods!

Painted black accents in the front and back, including the lip and installed the fog light. Loving the new look! :driving:

Thanks to the guys over at Bell's Autosport in Huntington Beach. I highly recommend them!!

Pulled over for the first time in the Z today as I was leaving lunch. I was waiting to make a right-hand turn, saw the cop go buy me and pull a u-turn to get behind me so I figured he was going to nail me but I wasn't sure for what:

"Do you know why I stopped you"
"Actually, no"
"Well, you don't have a front plate"
"Oh, it's right here. Sorry I forgot to put it up"
... "Well, it needs to be mounted on the front of the car, have you been pulled over for this before?"
"No"
"Well Maryland state law says you have to have a front plate"
"Well, there aren't any holes drilled for it. I'll look into a mounting bracket"
At this point I try to hand him my registration and license and he waves me off
"No, I'm not going to run your stuff. It's a beautiful car"
Cop grins and says
"So is that a legal exhaust you have on that thing"
"Yes, as far as I know"
"rev the engine for me please"
(I oblige)
Cop grins, gives a thumbs up to his buddy who swung in behind him a thumbs up and leaves without a word.

May the (police) force be with you.

dmhenderson 01-09-2013 12:16 PM

Most of the cops in my town go to my gym so I was surprised to be pulled at all but it was a dude I didn't recognize and was clearly off-duty and out of uniform (even weirder).

I suspect he just wanted a look at the car.

(*edit: I'm exploring the possibility of a front-mounted "under bumper" motorized license plate bracket")

DLSTR 01-09-2013 12:25 PM

Drove to work and back home. Enjoyed the ride and so far, the mild winter thus far. Love this car. :)

Hahaha... No, don't bring it to the shop. You should fix it by yourself, in house!:icon18:

PapoZalsa 01-09-2013 07:41 PM

Washed the Z since it was around 60ºF and I haven't wash the car since October (stays in the garage). This Sunday is going to be like 70ºF so I will put a good coat of wax before the cold gets here again.
