"Do you know why I stopped you"
"Actually, no"
"Well, you don't have a front plate"
"Oh, it's right here. Sorry I forgot to put it up"
... "Well, it needs to be mounted on the front of the car, have you been pulled over for this before?"
"No"
"Well Maryland state law says you have to have a front plate"
"Well, there aren't any holes drilled for it. I'll look into a mounting bracket"
At this point I try to hand him my registration and license and he waves me off
"No, I'm not going to run your stuff. It's a beautiful car"
Cop grins and says
"So is that a legal exhaust you have on that thing"
"Yes, as far as I know"
"rev the engine for me please"
(I oblige)
Cop grins, gives a thumbs up to his buddy who swung in behind him a thumbs up and leaves without a word.

Wish cops in Toronto are like that.... :icon17:

Inflate the tire-pressure to 41lbs on all four corners, won't drive it on the road at least for a while.... :(

I bought a $450 rearview mirror (plus backup camera/home link/auto-dimming/etc) and I got a much stranger low tone grumble. It wasn't my exhaust. You think I should sent the Z into the shop to see if they can find/duplicate the noise?

The REALLY strange part: I wasn't even in the car when the noise happened. I was in the house.

Wow that's the damndest thing... I've heard that noise twice, once when I left the invoice for my FI exhaust/cats lying out and again when I left my laptop open with the payment for my Tommy Kaira HB knob visible.

I still can't figure out where it's coming from! Every mechanic I take the car to says it's "working as intended" although I don't know what that means. Help!

I'm going to order some stuff from them too. I need to call them tomorrow since they have no shipping options online. If they send em regular through USPS to me, it'll take 4-6 weeks to get here.....I'd rather pay a bit extra for priority and take about 5 days lol.

Tribalpinoy91 01-10-2013 06:41 PM

Washed and did some minor claying and covered it up. Ready for the next 6 days of rain no Z driving😔

But hey at least a good amount of salt and debris on the road will get washed away👍....and into the ocean😂

Hotrodz 01-10-2013 06:56 PM

Took her to lunch and got "smoked" by an A5 who I didn't know I was racing. :p He decided to try to beat me from a red light stop.

Sounds like you need to pay more attention :ugh2: or just take it out on the next 'beater' you roll up on at the stop light. Don't even look over or nothing - just blow them off the line and you'll feel right as rain :icon17:

Pintsize725 01-11-2013 01:39 PM

Now that I've looked up the model, it was an RS 5. Still a dummy since he obviously has more power.

Every RS5 I've seen on a twisty road, drives well below the limit. It seems to be a capable car driven by posers (and red light racers).

shadowfax 01-11-2013 03:16 PM

Filled her up for the first time... 70 bucks!

But she's such a pretty gold digger.

When I'm rich enough, I'm buying my exotic car in my PJs. :icon17:

Funny thing, about 3 BB employees saw me pull up and walk in but no one offered help.

Doesn't matter what clothing you're wearing. I roll up to places with bedhead and/or PJ's all the time. Just give 'em the meanmug and they walk over like a bad dog.
