I think my post will pale in comparison to a lot of the other posts on this thread, but the Z is so different from any car I've had that I'm noticing that I think it's changed me....and I just had to mention this.

So this morning, my very dramatic and kind of negative teenage daughter, misses her bus and needs a ride to school. Normally, I'd be slightly pissed (her school is the opposite way from my work), but then I think it's just a little longer time I get to drive the roadster.

So we get in, I drive to the school and drop her off. Once that's done I:

1. Put the top down.

2. Put an Eagles CD in with specifically this playing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imhDevlc9OM

3. And then take a leisurely speed, while other cars zoom past me to get to their workplace.

Sometimes there are gentle sunny days in Indiana that remind me of when I was a kid in California. (BTW, growing up in CA in the 70's was magic...not sure about today though.)

I know that a LOT of people are taking prescriptions for various things...anxiety, depression, and so on. I can tell you that having the Z the past six months has relaxed me and put a smile on my face almost daily. And this morning was a perfect example.

One of the best and healthy purchases I've ever made.

Nismo S-Tune, in brilliant silver to match :P

but did it because racecar-minus 11.2lbs of unsprung weight.

those are good looking wheels. are you running spacers, or? :)
i was very tempted to buy that since they were on a huge sale last Spring.

You and I are close in age and growing up in California is nothing like it was when we did. I let my nephew (nine) outside to play while I watched over him. I had a loaded rifle near by. I still received criticism as he was alone 60-80 feet from me. I walked miles from home at his age.

I have no regrets buying my Z either. It is a stress reducer. :driving:

thanks. yep, 25 up front and 30 in the rear. wheels arethe same offset and size as the sport ray's so running the same spacers with these ones. bought these slightly used for cheaper than i sold my sport rays for. haha sold my sport rays and bought these in the same day. left my car on jack stands for the night till i could get the tires mounted.

I assume they are... I don't think there are variations. They look exactly like mine, except like you said, the color is a little off, which is likely due to the photograph.

Have to get a couple of shots tomorrow

Drove down I-10, off Orleans Ave. and into the quarter. I need to do up some shots of the beast on the streets of the French Quarter --- fabulous back drops provided by Southeast Louisiana of course.

Imagery to come.

Yesterday afternoon we got 3" of rain in less than an hour.
No big deal.... except for the hail that came with it.
With the Z parked outside, I was having serious sphincter issues during the storm.
Dime sized & smaller. And luckily, sparce.
No damage.
Houston, we're breathing again.

kenchan 08-23-2013 10:01 AM

Wheels look great critical :yum:

I finally got a chance after being busy the last 5 days to take my Z out last night for a little joyride. I went to Target to get a few things then took the long way home.

+1 with what kenchan said, who needs drugs when you have a Z, my heart was racing plenty enough just driving around town :icon17:

roy'sz 08-23-2013 04:00 PM

Did a 100mile canyon run after a fresh oil change. Oil got up to 250 because of my blockoff plate still there. In the winter I plan on openimg up the holes. It was a hell of a run. Pusher her about 90%

Well...Harry's csc check up went as expected.
We found nothing wrong ma'am. Fluid looks fine (serious face), tech says no need to change it out. We just don't see anything wrong. (More serious face)
;)
Yes, but we have started a repair/issues file now...AND I got to drive Harry 85m at 65+mph!!
Oh!! And i saw another Z headed east!
Altogether a productive Z day! :happydance: :driving:
