Painted my fairlady Z badge gloss black :) Installing tonight.

SPOHN 08-24-2012 08:38 PM

Bleed brakes and installed front clip. Also picked up Odyssey battery (16lbs). Side skirts go on tomorrow.

DCNISMO 08-24-2012 09:37 PM

I dynamatted my interior front kick plates that go in front of the doors. Tomorrow I'll dynamatt the tranny hump. Then I'm all done as I have already done the trunk and the doors.

Rusty 08-25-2012 07:20 AM

Baer383 08-25-2012 09:13 AM

I asked a beautiful 18 year old girl along for a ride in the Z after she made eyes at the car.

Her reply was "I do not drive stick."

I said "I didn't ask if you want to drive my car. I asked if you wanted to go along for a ride as my passenger. I just like driving with pretty girls."

She did not reply directly. I think I got my answer.

She would have scratched your kick plates anyway.

No way a bitch, she is too clever. She can drive around with anybody, yet alone some old dude.

Others are looking for a weight reduction. I'd love to add her hundred pounds to the Z.

:iagree:

Pretty girls are the most expensive accessory you can put in your car. They make it noisy, they wear out quickly, and are very likely to be stolen.

Some guys like the "All show no go" mods like a pretty girl. I prefer my Z to have *all* my attention. There is plenty of time for your date once you get to the restaurant.

Right. Sorry. Good point. so...

Idrove my sleeping 3 year old up Hecker pass near Santa Cruz and enjoyed my Berk tones. I still grin like a fool every time we hit 3k plus rpm's

alcheng 08-25-2012 04:37 PM

Speaking of Berk, couple weeks ago we went to a car meet and MrSir arrived and I ask him to rev-up a bit cos he got the new Berk....

I bet he rev to about 4-5k rpm.... and the alarm of a Civic (or whatever I can't remember....) which is about 10 ft away..... got triggered... :bowrofl: :bowrofl:

And he has both silencers on the tips....

They are Oem re050a. 295 by 30. I got them on eBay actually and was in a way hesitant. They stated 60% tread.

They are even better than expected! I got them for.. 228.00 shipped!! :)

After being away from my baby for a week, I took her out on the town for a few hours today.

I got a little over-exuberant and chirped tires in second gear on a launch. It was fun.

Z_ealot 08-26-2012 12:59 AM

did my first DIY job on my baby today...changed out to brand new red line 75w-90 in the differential and holy crap was that factory fill nasty. about quarter inch of metal shavings on the magnetic drain bolt. also invested in a 2 and 1/4 ton AC delco low profile jack, best money i've spent on a jack in years.

I pulled my steering lock fuse this weekend. What a place to put the fuse box I tell you. Good thing they don't blow often (or ever thus far).

falconfixer 08-27-2012 12:44 PM

Went to Lowe's this weekend and picked up the material to fab up an oil cooler block-off cover for the winter months. Now to find the motivation this upcoming weekend to actually pull the bumper and cut the sheetmetal. I'm bad at procrastinating; hell it took me a couple of months to take the time to put the lift on the frontier.
